Well, I was expecting that my Cactus Gray Lariat Lux FX4 with CP360 that I ordered on January 20th would roll over to a 2023 model year, but my dealer called me today to tell me I have a VIN and it will be built October 31st to be delivered December 2nd. I still have not got the email from Ford, though. Also, the order tracker says “status temporarily unavailable”. Let’s hope it really isn’t built on Halloween. That would be unfortunate. Of course I expect the date to be extended at least a couple of times. It would be nice though if my wife could have her Maverick for a Christmas present.

Why would that be unfortunate? Halloween in Mexico is really a kids thing. Dia de los Muertos is usually November 1-2.. that's the real celebration. It's a beautiful thing. It will have no effect on your truck.

Superstitions are crazy. What about Friday 13th. Would you feel unfortunate if it was built on that day? It's just a day. Don't fret about it. Remember your getting your Maverick. Rejoice!

False. If OP gets built on Halloween, it will come in orange and have 2 black cats with the truck. That’s just the tradition

Awesome, I hope mine - which is already orange - comes with 2 black cats. Black cats are the absolute best.

I was saying that tongue in cheek. I just don’t want a haunted truck. :)

Congrats on finally getting scheduled. I just talked to a guy in a parking lot yesterday who ordered last October and just got his build date for October - a full year wait.

Glad to see not all are superstitious…just be sure to not break the rear view mirror and walk under a ladder on the same day🤣😂

I own a black cat already and during a recent remodel of one of our rental units, I shattered 2 mirrors and walked under many ladders.

Hopefully my Maverick doesn't fall off the truck or something after this 11 month (so far) wait.

My situation is very similar. Dealer emailed me with a VIN and a scheduled date of October 31st. No letter from Ford hq. And, my VIN won't work with the tracker. I'm doubting the '22 is going to happen.
Dealer said "probably by the end of the year" but that would require an uncharacteristic level of organization on Fords part. I'm thinking of converting on this rumored ordering date on the 15th but unsure of ramifications.

I think the only way it would happen is IF they keep building '22s into December. Very weird way to conduct business. But, it's wrapping up a couple of weird years.

You have a VIN. You are getting a MY22. That is not speculation, that is just a fact.

You should not have received an email from Ford yet. Those come out closer to the build week. My build week was 8/29 and my email from Ford came 8/14. When it was rescheduled to 9/5, I got another email. But don't look for any email this far in advance of a 10/31 build date.

When you say your VIN doesn't work with the tracker.. what error is it giving you? Have you tried ordertrack.app?

I ordered a totally loaded Lariat on the 18th of January and haven’t heard a peep out of Ford or my dealer in all that time. What were some of the options you have on your Maverick?

You will get a 22 once you are given a vin number. As far as the tracker goes, it won't work until you are given a build date, not a build week. Once you have a build date, you should be able to access the window sticker as well. Thats what I was told a couple weeks back from Ford marketing. BTW, just check in with customer service starting maybe around the 10th of October and they can tell you if your build week has been pushed back.

I've had/have orange cats which are also the absolute best. Still keeping with the Halloween theme.

It comes with the message "Not a proper VIN/ order #". I've tried numerous ways.
Yeah, I've heard that before with the VIN. But, they are cutting it close. I'm going to get one of the last Mavericks built if things go perfectly. No delays, no glitches, no setbacks. So. All of a sudden Ford has their shit together?
