I know the video you watched. Nowhere in the video did Farley say ANYTHING about a new Maverick plant, additional line in Hermosillo, or any other Maverick expansion. The only place it was mentioned was in the title of the video. Go watch it again and let me know where in the video Farley mentions an expansion of Maverick production. The closest you will find is the NARRATOR of the video claiming that Blue Oval City will include Maverick. Blue Oval City is not even built yet and the most aggressive timeline for opening is 2025. Sure to slip to 2026 or 2027 or.....2030 with the current construction market constraints we are seeing.
Blue oval city?

I have 2 “preorders” at local dealers in central Indiana, one said the 15th and was unhelpful in any other info and the other said orders would be open hopefully any day now. The second dealer also said I was the 28th preorder they had and they would call down the line for us to come in, so even if they open the 15th I might not be in that day. They also said they had just 2 2022 Mavericks still unscheduled and they we’re pretty positive they would be scheduled soon because “Ford is doing everything they can to clear out the 2022 orders before going all in on 2023.”

My local dealer has offered to put my order in for ‘23 hybrid XLT on 9/15 at invoice. Wondering if that is too good to be true.

I'm now being told tomorrow is the day but given that no one else is saying this I am skeptical.

I've seen the 2023MY Prelim order guide from July. I have not seen pricing at all for the 2023 Maverick nor a VIN spec for it. Doubtful that it will be tomorrow (September 8th) that they open up.

And So what's your point? Did I say it was an additional plant in in Hermosillo ?? All I said was I heard Ford is opening another Maverick plant . Title of the video says Ford CEO confirms Huge Maverick plant to boost production numbers. I didn't say where or when it would happen or who said what in the video with Farley and so what if it was narrated !!!

And So what's your point?
I mean no offense to you. I am not trying to do a "gotcha" here. I am just trying to stop the spread of inaccurate information. You seem to have simply trusted the title of a video either without actually listening to the content, or....I don't know. You tell me. But seriously, nothing personal against you. My original comment to you want meant to be more questioning, not accusatory. You didn't make the video! Haha. It is that video channel I have a beef with.

"I watched a video with CEO Farley is where I got the information."

That right there is my point. You were asked where you heard the info and you said you watched a video with Farley in it. Mentioning the name Farley (and the reason they used clips of Farley in their video) implies that the presence of Farley means it carries more weight or truth than any other random video on the internet. Which might be true if Farley said anything about Maverick expansion in the video. But he didn't.....

What you actually watched was a video from a channel that makes click-bait videos with often "shocking/breaking" news type titles that included some stock footage of Farley talking about EV and battery production expansion in two new campuses/plants that will not open until 2025 at the earliest. Never mentioning Maverick expansion. It was narrated, which means they can say whatever they want in-between the clips of Farley actually talking. They could have said "Farley confirms Ford is going to produce a fully EV Maverick Lightning in 2025, and have committed to producing 800k of them in the first year at their newly opened plant in the southern USA." The words out of Farley's mouth in the video clip would be just as valid and might be seen as supporting that claim. Because remember, he does talk about building some new facilities for battery production and EV vehicle production. They seem to be trying to take those words he ACTUALLY said and somehow cramming them in some mental gymnastics to mean that somehow Maverick production is being expanded. Not just expanded, but at a new plant! From the title of the video....remember?

I'm not just going off memory. I just sat thru that painful video for a third time to make sure I wasn't talking out my butt. I saw it when it came out, I watched it again when I made my comment to you, and I just watched it again right now. The closest you can get to a Maverick related item is the narrator saying Farley claimed they are tossing money at ALL of their plants.

That is my point :) Nothing more, nothing less.

Ford Oval City is supposed to be a EV site. So I will start a new rumor. Maybe the Maverick to be built there will be A EV version.

I have an appointment on the 15th to order. However, the salesman indicated his manager told him it may only open up to MY22 rollovers first and that new orders may be pushed out to Oct/Nov. Has anyone else heard this?
My dealer informed me that these so called orders will be done online only. Not only do I not believe him, but I will march myself to that dealer on the day in question & make my MY2023 in his presence

My dealer and the Ford email I got told me my order would roll over to the MY23 and there was no need to reorder.

The extra maverick plant is a BIG rumor.
Ford is helping the general rumor mill by not putting out a lot of valid information. I think part of it is that they are disorganized and don't know exactly what their next moves are. Even if that isn't true, it sure seems that way. And they don't do a lot to counter the rumors. Their dealerships are kept in the dark too.
