I am leaning toward the Lariat with the EB engine. Thank you all for your replies. I appreciate the feedback.
That’s what I ordered, and I’m not worried. Keep in mind that you only hear of the bad, and in the big picture, that’s a very small percentage. I’m anxiously awaiting mine. Just got a build date of Oct 17, and a VIN also.

I am getting to order a 2023 Maverick and I am getting concerned about all the issues I am reading about. Anyone want to chime in and make me feel more confident about my potential purchase? How many of you are sorry you bought the vehicle.
We've only had ours about two months now, but we still really love it. Because we opted for AWD we had to get the 2.0 EB engine. It's a Lariat with a lot of bells & whistles. I love the adaptive cruise control, and it rides really smooth. We had a Ford F-150 before but I'm short and the F-150 was way too big for me, so the Mav is perfect - it satisfies my husband's need for a truck, and mine for a car. Love it love it love it.

I ordered my '22 Mav hybrid XLT in Oct '21, yet to be scheduled. Most likely to be converted to a '23 model. I still want it. I am keeping my options open for an EV (different auto manufacturer). Despite the issues, I think the Mav is worth it. My patience is wearing thin, waiting.

I surely regret buying one. I really wish I had bought two. ;)

I had some minor issues but I love my hybrid. Get some type of Paint protection though. Bug visor, ceramic etc.

Everybody finds things to complain about my biggest problem is my house key won't fit in the ignition or I can't shift with the fan switch but I think the biggest problem I have with my Maverick is theres no reminder to take my keys out of my pocket before I put my seat belt on, Yes I have done these things many times, seriously I can't blame ford for my age and if you're laughing just remember you will be old someday too. 3 months and 2500 miles no problems, and every day me and the dog take a ride to show off my Maverick, XLT CARBON GREY ECO AWD FX4 4KTOW and LUX PK. I love my Maverick and if something brakes am sure ford will fix it.

I'm from around Chicagoland. I've talked to every Maverick owner I've seen driving around (about 10 so far) and they all love their truck. No problems reported.

You are correct. Ford can fix your brakes.

Tim, i used the Kilmat off of amazon, just cause easy to get, inexpensive, and it sticks well, i used quite a bit.

The CCF off ebay from russian, works well, inexpensive. I went crazy with the stuff, did under hood as well, will do underneath when i get it up on lift. I am going to wheel wells as that is the next noisy. The fiber panels are not enough.

By far the best mod, in any vehicle cause you get 3 fold.
1) sound deadning
2) insulation, AC and heat work very well, can change temps to take advantage.
3)sound performance, ups your stereo to hall quality performance( you wont believe how much better the system performs).

I added some low cost Boss speakers which really helped with imaging and separation.

No remorse. Love it. My only regret is having to buy it from a rapacious dealer who was quite unpleasant.

I have a 23 lariat Eco almost fully loaded on order. My anxiety comes from the potential of trading away my 2014 Wrangler Sahara. Cars have always been like kids to me, always have a hard time letting go and moving on. I love my Jeep but its not the easiest for my aging dad to get into and the wife doesn't like it any better.
Almost hope it doesn't come in to fast so i have more time to contemplate. My Jeep is really fun to drive (but not the best highway/interstate vehicle) , I'm sure the Mav is a great truck but just afraid i'll miss the Jeep.
and to complicate things I'm still in love with my 2002 F150 that's running great.

I’ve had my Lariat since Dec 21, 2021. 2.0, AWD, 4K Tow. Love the truck! My only fear is a collision that might total it😄

Purchased a Lariat 2.0 EB off the lot in Sept 2022. Sold my 2016 GMC Canyon V6 w/ 25k miles on it for $1000 more than I paid for it 6 years ago. Every time I get into my Mav I smile. It is a joy to drive. Quiet and smooth on the road. Easy to get in and out of. Just enough capacity in the bed for what I need to do. It is my first Ford ever and I am delighted with it. I gave the Santa Cruz a look but the cabin seemed cramped and the bed didn't seem like it belonged on a truck.
