So, I'm curious...

After some serious internal arguments with myself ("Should I buy a new Ford, should I not?") I happened to go to the Mullinax/Apopka, FL website to check out their trucks. I'm looking at F-150's, Rangers. Explorers, etc. All of their "new" 2024 stuff has mileage accruals of like 1000+ miles. I'm assuming they're using these vehicles as courtesy rides, but WTH? Can anyone explain this?

Got a few from there. Just ask them the question they will give you the answer. I had no problems dealing there. Got a 22 & 24 Mav Lariat from them.

As another poster said, just ask them, they will answer. I'm sure those are loaners. I purchased a 2020 Ranger from Mullinax in Apopka that was a loaner with around 900 miles on it. Got a great deal and still had that "new car" smell. Mullinax is definately one of the good dealers.

Also not answering your question but here's my Mullinax story. Pasted from my Google review I left today.

Purchased a new Maverick here the end of '23. I live 138 miles away but was drawn to Mullinax by transparent pricing and no extra fees. Within a week of ownership I noticed the passenger side floors were water saturated under the rubber floor mats and mold was starting to grow. Also a Tremor decal was cut and reapplied to the quarter panel. I hadn't taken the truck out of the garage. The salesperson, Chris White, agreed to get and mail me a replacement decal. I decided I would use a closer dealer to look for the water leak. 6 months into this adventure, I don't have a decal and water leak not addressed. My local dealers are just too busy.

Beginning of July, I'm drawn in again and buy a Bronco Sport. Everything is going to be great. The new salesperson will get me my Tremor decal and the parts department will mail it to me. I meet Shawn Marks, general manager, who thanks my wife and I for being repeat customers. I now have a relationship. Great. Few days later I call Mullinax service to schedule the water leak diagnosis and repair and a recall on the Maverick. I'm very specific about my distance and asked them to help with a loaner or other means of transport. Ariel is assigned as my service advisor. My appointment is 5 weeks out, fine. A week goes by and I leave a message for Ariel regarding my arrangements. No return call.

A few days later I email Shawn Marks, the general manager. I have a relationship now, so he'll fix it. Crickets. Few days more I call and email Michael Scapicchio, sales manager. He does return an email saying he'll request a loaner but there are none available right now for my service date of 8/12. More days go by and I email Mike again asking for plan B. Crickets. I'm posting this on 8/9 with utter silence from anyone at Mullinax, Apotka.

So the review is, sure buy new Fords from them. You'll get a fair deal. But know you are getting essentially no PDI and absolutely no assistance after the sale.
Sorry you've had some issues with your Maverick. It's a great little truck.
But I don't agree about not getting PDI or assistance after a sale from Mullinax in Apopka. I've purchased mult new vehicles (Maverick, Bronco Sport and Bronco) from them since 2022 and I've had only a couple issues after the sale. If my salesman couldn't help then he directed me in the right direction to get issue fixed. Did it happen fast? Sometimes yes and sometimes No. But eventually the issue was either resolved or fixed. Granted, being 10 minutes away helps, but nonetheless, Mullinax has always gone out of their way to help me, from all 3 departments, QL, Service and Sales. Hope 8/12 goes well for you.
