Ford Maverick Dash cubby hole -- what's in yours? 📸 IMG_7263
Working on putting this in or finding a way to use it for the push to start button. Has connections for power and lighting.

A nice place for the moose beanie baby. I like how the antlers go with my XLT interior.

Got these installed the other day. Just need the switches that are oriented the right way.

Finally, improved version of my cubby insert is finished. It's definitely more complex then previous one, require 3d printing of a couple of components. But in general it's still the same thing: plastic insert with two switches and magnetic phone holder. I don't know what to use those switches for (maybe future fog lights). It's there already. Kids love cliking these guys. Magnetic holder connected to the main insert with short arm made of loc-line. Everything is assembled together with a couple of aluminum screws and rivnuts.

And, just for fun, I added a couple of stickers for the Space Odyssey 2001 movie funs

AkroHD makes this nice 3D printed insert and sells it with an optional USB mod that taps into a fuse behind the glove box.

Do the USB plugs only provide power, or are they hooked into the infotainment system? I wouldn't mind this, if I didn't have to have a cord going from the top of the dash to the bottom... otherwise I just bought one of those stick on ones and put it on the edge/inside of the cubby. I'll post photos later.

edit - sounds like it only supplies power

These USB ports are power only per the instructions that come with the kit. I'm yet to get a wireless AA/CarPlay adapter, but it's on my wishlist.

Nothing for the cubby after a month, don't really like leaving stuff in my vehicles, just an invitation for someone to break-in. Yeah I'm boring like that.

Has anyone figured out a good use for the cubby by the radio?

I've been putting my wallet there when going through drive up windows. Holds it nice & tight.
