Cubby Hole Dimension (Ruler Measurements!)

What's under the little rubber mat thingy? Any holes? I'm thinking about designing a light switch gang box and would love a place to run wire without drilling into a brand new car!

Just bare flat plastic, and a small notch the the rubber pad clips to for retention. I could easily see a cubby-shaped box with a little tang in the bottom that uses that small notch to keep it in place. Would need to drill to run any wires, but you could drill in the bottom face where the hole would be covered with the rubber pad if you removed the gang box.

that is one of the things I was looking to do, I have a iPhone 6S, yes it is old, but the size looks perfect. Thinking 3D print a mount to insert into cubby.

I like the idea of a box with a hinged lid that slides in and out of the cubby, but with a phone mount attached to the front.

Without the lil removable rubber mat, cubby measures 93mm tall, 58mm wide, 70mm deep. At the back it tapers down to 76mm tall, 50mm wide.

Just FYI... a Raspberry Pi is 85.60mm x 53.98mm!
