The amount of 2022 model orders that were bumped up to 2023 probably already caused them to sell out.
Its possible! If not, max just a few days with all the flippers that will order at many dealers.

Another thing that is possible, the only way to stop the flipping is for Ford to substantially raise the price.

Now that 2023 Lightning PRO is sold out through 2024 just after 1st round, good luck getting Maverick Hybrid. LOL

GM and RAM will have their own versions out soon, maybe a few foreign makers also. That will cut into the Maverick sales. Not knocking Ford, my Maverick is scheduled to be built 9/23 and I am a Ford guy.

GM and RAM seem to be a few years out still, or involve Chicken taxes.
Ford Maverick may still be the clear economical budget choice in 2023.

Define "soon."

We'll see. With the way the recession is going, problems the Maverick has already, and the SLIGHT ease in gas prices, it may not be as as desirable anymore. Heck, if the base model Tacoma got even 8MPG combined better than it's current rating, I would go for one of those.

My guess would be that there are fewer than 10k “rollovers” and it seems like they can build 100k per year (if constraints persist). Much of the initial enthusiasm has waned, so they might sell out by 2/1/23.

Not in the next 2 years they won't - perhaps model year 2025 "if" they step in.

What we know for 2022 is that Ford planned to build 40% hybrid, 60% Eco-boost. Turned out there were many more hybrid orders than they expected.

So did they learn anything from 2022? Can they get more hybrid parts for 2023? Time will tell....

Considering that 40% limit hasn't budged at all through the MY I doubt it. If the demand truly was more than they anticipated they don't seem to have reoriented production to meet it. Which makes me suspect it's more a limitation of what they can produce.

You are probably right about that. All the auto companies are saying they don't expect to see much improvement in the supply chain until 2024. Ford won't be any different.

How about to solve the flipping we have a $1k non refundable deposit?
