I just tried to do it this week with my 2022 XL hybrid with 10500 miles.
They offered 22k trade-in and the 2024 XL EB was 26k MSRP. CarMax was 24k trade-in.
They are currently selling on the lot to walk-in customers at 2k over MSRP, so they had no incentive to negotiate further with me...
Big shudder today, felt like the Hybrid was going to shake itself apart for about 2 seconds.
Was crossing a two lane street, from one side to the other, and encountered a small curb on the other side.
The curb seemed to exacerbated a minor shudder into a major event.
