FWIW, I placed orders for two almost identical trucks.

1. Horsham - 10/8/2021 order date - CO Lariat Lux Hybrid w/Moonroof. 3% under invoice.
2. Philly - 10/13/2021 order date - CO Lariat Lux Hybrid. 4% under invoice.

Not only has the Philly truck with the later order date (and better price) been scheduled, but Ed has also consistently maintained price protection will apply from the original date. Ashlie @ Horsham is very cagey when asked about this and will not give a direct answer. But that truck, despite being ordered first, is also not even scheduled.

I would 100% recommend Ed @ Philly over anyone at Horsham.

IF you will be happy paying MSRP (which is a good deal in and of itself), then I recommend @fordvideoguy most of all. He has an internet presence and a commitment to keeping you updated that neither Chapman dealership comes anywhere close to.
You can’t blame them. Not everyone is as internet or YouTube savvy as Tim Bart’s. As long as they keep their end of the deal is all good to me. Tim is only as good as long as the owner allows him to be. He doesn’t have the final say in what goes on at LM. He’s just a front man for that organization.

Long McArthur has the better management team. Smart enough to know when they have a secret weapon, and smart enough to let him do his thing and they reap the rewards.

As far as whether or not Chapman keeps their end of the deal.. if you're with Horsham, let us know if they do or not. Because they're not going to answer anything about your deal ahead of time, that much is clear.

Yep, I too cannot get an actual answer on price protection from Horsham.

I fully expect, after my last conversation, to not be price protected. Really unfortunate as I added additional options based on the price I thought we agreed to. I'll know for sure in a couple of months...

I can't understand why they won't answer the question. What pisses me off most is that I only ordered a truck from them because I thought they had a presence here like Long McArthur and Granger. I was willing to shop nationwide for the best price possible. I skipped Long McArthur because MSRP was no different than my local dealer. I skipped Granger because I didn't think a nonrefundable deposit was reasonable on a vehicle like the Maverick. Come to find out that Horsham/Tom really does not have a presence here at all.

You shouldn't have to wait until you're talking with the F&I guy to know about price protection. Either yes or no. I asked Ed and his response was swift and definitive.. "you are price protected from the order date". Simple.

I'm stuck with Horsham, though. I don't want to lose the priority when this one gets rolled over, and I want to change the order up anyway. But that whole 5-star survey stuff ain't happening for them. I am not at all impressed. Not even a little.

I was never told it would be 4% off FINAL invoice. I was told it was from the order time, even after questioning the price change. I really did not appreciate this fact/
It's a ford problem.. Everyone past the costs on to the consumer. Ford passes it to the dealer and the dealer to you

You’re over thinking it here. You can place an order with as many dealerships as you want but again you might mess up their allocation with Ford. But that isn’t your problem. Don’t think in their favor. Stop looking out for them and think for yourself and do what is best for your situation.
You’re under thinking.
They’ll just keep the Maverick, mark it up and get paid.
When that sale goes through and they don’t meet their name match requirements from Ford they’ll lose allocations and other Maverick orders won’t get scheduled.

Astounding. How the H*LL is it a ford problem? Ford provides the dealer with price protection to allow dealers to honor ordered prices? Speciffically to avoid passing the cost to the dealer or buyer! Your 'logic' fails on every point.

Many/most/honest dealers have used this to keep buyer's price from increasing. Horsham has passed price increase on to the buyer and pocketed the ford incentive. Legal? maybe. Ethical? absolutely not. Ford problem? No way.

At msrp there is the protection..

It's business my man. If you don't like it walk. Someone will buy it over sticker. Grow up

It’s a gross business model where the customer either goes without (after waiting a year plus in many examples) or is forced to pay more in spite of Ford’s intent that the dealer is aware of.

On another note I finally got an email from Ford stating I have a build week of 12Sep. I’d already reached out to Horsham and was provided a build week of 05Sep.
Yesterday I again reached out to Horsham to confirm and their screenshot still shows as 05Sep.
Not that a week matters after a year of waiting, just curious which to believe; the Ford email or the screenshot (from Ford) from Horsham..

Whatever invoice pricing at delivery will be discounted. Blame Ford

It's still cheaper than msrp.

I agree it sucks but it's what it is

Not the point. You said you bought 2 from Ed, and the price was "to the cent". That's how it should be. I am happy with Ed. That is not what was being talked about.

The problem is Horsham refusing to even answer questions about price protection, and the shared experiences on here are very inconsistent. Some say they were protected, others not. That is not a Ford problem. That is a dealership problem. There is no reason Horsham can't operate with the same clarity and customer service as Philly. This is a dealership problem.

There is nothing to work on until the truck is here. That's exactly how it worked with Ed. That's exactly how it works at Horsham.

You guys want constant updates from the dealer about everything. 95 percent of the time they don't get any new news either.

Most of the time everyone is trying to figure out allocations and all that bs. Waste of time.

Price protection is for msrp Einstein not dealer orders below invoice.

If you lack the business and or negation skills I recommend you don't buy from a dealer and go to carmax

It's very obvious you will be paying four percent under invoice at the time of delivery and current invoice pricing.

It still beats MSRP.
