With all the dead battery posts, its time for me to pick up a Battery Jump Box. Which ones are you buying?

I haven't used it yet, but I got this one from Wal-mart.com. Current price is $51.99 (was 47.99 when I ordered in July).

Several reviewers put this one or the 20000mAh one in the top 10 best portable jump starters, so I figured it must be OK. I figured for the 2.0L Maverick, the 18000mAh would be more than enough. I store it under the rear seat and one month later it still has a full charge.

NOCO is what Ford sells as an accessory and what I have. Many sizes, I chose a 1500a which is the sweet spot between price and performance...

IMO, it's a sad day when owners of brand new vehicles have to purchase jump boxes/battery chargers in order to have any confidence of being able to get to and return back. My mind just can't seem to processing why this is accepted as normal for a brand new vehicle. This is nuts, something needs to be fixed. Now, got that off my chest, I'll move on now.

I have an Audew very compact and powerfull. Takes up less room than a pair of jumper cables. Lithium battery actually keeps a charge so it works when you need it. Every car should have one.

Highly recommend NOCO brand. Have had one for over 5 years and still works perfectly. Many sizes available as well as a whole selection of cables and connectors.

I don't really disagree with you, but on the other hand I've carried a set of jumper cables in every vehicle I've owned for over 40 years. And had to use them more often than I should have. So having a backup way to start your vehicle is just good planning. With the introduction of "jump boxes" I no longer carry the cables but I do always carry a small jump box. I've used it three times in the last year. Once on my Jeep, once on my Toyota Highlander and once on some lady's car.

That's not to say Ford shouldn't get this particular issue fixed, they should, and it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I bought this one on sale a few months back. I liked the digital readout. It has been stored for over 3 months in my truck and still charged to 100%. My buddy has the same exact one and had to use it once, it used just 3% to jump the vehicle.

Thanks to Drew, was able to cancel my first Amazon order before it was shipped, and got the more functional Michelin ML0729. Really needed a battery powered radio for garage/shed , and prefer that it has a AGM battery over lithium in a hot Texas truck.
