Replace those crap Motorcraft batteries, period. We had all the problems with non-starting, sometimes multiple times per day, until we replaced ours in August of 2023. We substituted the Diehard Gold AGM battery and haven't had a problem since.

Except that most definitely isn't a drop-in replacement as it's so much larger that it requires modifying the stock battery locating metal tabs.
It's worth the effort, IMHO.

Some hybrid owners have tested changing the battery state of charge on the hybrid using FORSCAN and it has no effect on the voltage of the battery. Someone should test changing the CONFIG in their hybrid to FLOODED instead of AGM and see if that changes anything. ALL mavericks come with battery config set to AGM. Check this post I Made about this same subject.

I have a hunch that the hybrid Voltage is unchangeable due to being regulated and controlled by the DC voltage converter unit.

I would definitely upgrade to an aftermarket battery as many have had problems with MULTIPLE Factory Motorcraft Batteries. Look to see what others have done and what works best.

I really want to do this. I have been watching 12v battery voltage, 12v state of charge and charging behavior via OBII for over a year and would be able to provide as least SOME perspective on the issue. My truck actually targets 60% SOC as “full” and 12v amps drop to 0-1. Below 60% I have seen it charge as high as 5-6 amps. Voltage remains 14.5-15.2 though.

I don’t have FORScan, nor do I have a windows laptop to run it. I’m certain that I will get it eventually…

In my experience it did not. That in concert with changing battery desired charge level always resulted in a ~15.1v charging voltage (with doors closed, because opening doors reduces the commanded output voltage).
