No, common sense is strong in me.

If it was Ford's fault, I would be pissed as hell at them.

But it's not. They're not responsible for a war in Ukraine, Covid shutdowns in China, chip shortages, labor shortages and so on.

I got nothing from Ford for six or seven months after my order confirmation. I didn't care because guess what?

THEY HAD NOTHING TO TELL ME.

Then I got an email telling me my build was scheduled. And an email telling my my order was complete. And then an email telling me it had been shipped.

Anything more than that would have been useless and annoying.

My attitude is that if you've got nothing useful to say, shut the hell up. Telling me we don't know when your truck will be built over and over again for months would be stupid and irritating. That would piss me off a lot more than the silence until they had something informative to say.
Settle down there sport.
Ford communicating “there are delays stay tuned” us useless and annoying.

Yes. Because unless you are an ignorant idiot, you know that there are supply chain constraints. And unless you're a dumbass, you know that means there will be delays in your build.

And since you're whining about it, that tells me a lot about you. To the ignore list you go.

Then again some people just seem to want to be dissatisfied no matter the circumstance.
Ain't that the God's honest truth. People can find something to be ticked off about in just about anything nowadays.

Being dissatisfied with the product and the delivery of the product are two different things. Not sure why you can't seperate those two.

"Owners" in this article being the key word. Plenty of people that want to be owners right now that are very dissatisfied 😅
Yes, frustrating to wait! In my opinion, after waiting almost 8 months for my Lariat 2.0 EB and driving it past 4 months it was more than worth the wait!! It's a great little truck. Once you get in yours and drive it you'll forget about the long frustrating wait and just smile while other drivers turn their heads!!

We love our Mav. guess you could say that we were one of the lucky ones as we ordered our truck in June 2022 and got in in Oct 2022,Ours is the 2.0 eco XLT with lux pkg . Its very versitale and really fun to drive. 14 months and 6000 trouble free miles. As for complainers, the vehicle or whatever they purchase could be perfect and they would complain about it. some people are never satisfied no matter what

Agreed! I waited five months and absolutely worth the wait. I'm 68 years old and owned a little of everything you can drive. It drives great, still turns heads, low cost of ownership and has been 100% reliable. Considering some of the issues posted on this forum, the Maverick is a well built car/truck for the money.

Some people aren't happy unless they have something to be "outraged" about. What a miserable way to live their life.
Some people?
Don't they call them liberals?
😆 🤣;)

2022 Ford Maverick Owners Among Most Satisfied In Segment

The 2022 Ford Maverick proved to be a massive hit with a broad array of consumers from the day it launched, including first-time pickup buyers, small business owners, millennials, and Gen Z. The compact pickup continues to be a popular entity among shoppers, but it’s also proven to be quite satisfying with owners as well, even after many experienced a fairly stressful ordeal ordering and taking delivery of one. At least, those are the findings from the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. APEAL Study, which ranked the 2022 Ford Maverick as one of the most satisfying vehicles in its segment – joining the Ford brand, which ranked above the mass market segment average, Lincoln, which landed below the premium segment average, and both the Ford Bronco Sport and Ford Super Duty, each of which topped their individual segments as well.

Interestingly, J.D. Power has lumped the 2022 Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz – both compact pickups – into its mid-size pickup rankings, a pair that’s joined by the actual mid-size Nissan Frontier. Regardless, the Santa Cruz came out on top in this particular study, with the Frontier and Maverick rounding out the top three.

J.D. Power’s APEAL Study measures owners’ emotional attachment and their level of excitement with their new vehicle by asking them to consider 37 different attributes ranging from the sense of comfort they feel when climbing into the driver’s seat to the exhilaration they get when they step on the accelerator. Those responses are then used to calculate an overall APEAL Index score measured on a 1,000-point scale. The 2022 U.S. APEAL Study is based on responses from 84,165 owners of new 2022 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. This year, overall satisfaction dropped by one point, its first decline since 2014 and just the fifth in 27 years, which can be attributed to one major factor, according to J.D. Power.

“The most important factor leading to the industry decline this year is owners’ perception of their vehicle’s fuel economy,” said David Amodeo, director of global automotive at J.D. Power. “The study was fielded as fuel prices were experiencing a meteoric rise, and that pinch at the pump is conveyed in lower vehicle satisfaction. Battery-electric vehicles have not been negatively affected by the increase in fuel costs but do have issues related to battery range and charging time.”
I’ve had two, both Lariat hybrids, cumulative 30k miles, three recalls, dealer sent tech to my hometown do update. Absolutely zero problems. Averaging 43mpg on both 21 and 22. Has anyone looked at an extended warranty on the Mavericks? I got a letter from Ford telling me they guaranteed the engine for 100,000 miles or free replacement. I’d think with that an extended warranty would be reasonable.
