Good luck and keep us posted. Well, I want the truck and have $150 of ceramic coating that may go bad as ordered in February and a December delivery means, I'd have to find a heated garage somewhere as it requires temperatures above 50F. The financing will be missed but plan on financing 13k or so. I want the safety features and B & O sound system. So I'll be bumped to reorder MY23, perhaps without Stop & Go feature. The sales manager took 2 days to enter the order in the ROVP system and was approved ROVP order midnight Oct 28, 2021.

Will love hearing about you getting your MY22 and hope it works for you!!!!
I already have about $200 worth of parts and accessories in my garage. At least floor mats won't expire on me. I almost bought a tonneau cover in May too. Now I'm glad I didn't. Hopefully yours will be one of the first 2023's off the line.

Based on the constraint numbers I'm guessing I have about a 50/50 chance of getting scheduled as a 2022 once the lux package is removed. With no scheduling happening this upcoming week I won't even bother checking for about two weeks. Even if it is scheduled I probably won't see it under October which would conveniently be a full year since I ordered it.

No I am hybrid, I was pushed to 8-1. Then I got another email for 7-4 and it went into production next day.

My Vin is 917XX for the Week of August 29th for anyone tracking VIN #'s.
I am also 917XX but scheduled the week before.

How are these things sequenced again?

As orders are given a VIN (through whatever algorithm Ford uses) they are given VINs sequentially. But after that, the VIN sequence is no longer adhered to. As they shift and re-order production, the original VIN number means nothing. They do not produce the vehicles in VIN sequence.

I'm just really disappointed in how they schedule stuff. I can only imagine how people with June and July order dates feel when people after you get scheduled. (Especially those with MORE constraints)

Trust me when zip say that will be even more stressful. I ordered and was confirmed on October 11th for Cactus Grey, Hybrid, XLT Lux, with CoPilot 360. No date or VIN yet. At this point I am almost beginning to come To terms with the idea that in all likelihood it will not even be produced this year.

So I have been window shopping. Ther is little to nothing on the lots and everything that is out there even used is marked way the hell up. I guess I am being too picky I am looking at replacing my current 2018 Jeep Renegade with something with reasonable fuel economy (I have tracked every bit of gas and type I have put in it and have only gotten a combined 21 mpg) and it has to have a larger payload than the Renegade. I am also not wanting to take any steps back in what I have now when it comes to cruise control, lane departure, lane keeping, and blind spot awareness. If the Santa Cruz had better Fuel economy I probably would already own one.

So the question remains that when I inevitably am confronted with the decision to move forward and order a 2023 Maverick what is an acceptable wait time? I am not sure I would find it okay to reorder immediately and be waiting another 6 months.
Boy do I hear you. My dealership just reached out to their Ford rep and they said that they are really trying to get FE out.

I’m guessing a VIN that’s 00944 was produced pretty early.

Well, a few weeks ago my dealership got a Lariat Lux Hybrid with all the bells and whistles I was looking for and only 496 miles on her. I went ahead and bought it. Yes, it was over MSRP but in doing so I have gotten myself away from the toxic relationship my Jeep Renegade’s dealership had me stuck in. This past week I just jot my email that my October order was not going to probably be fulfilled.

Ya know I was also wrestling with the contemplation of just because it’s a “new year model” does not mean they have snapped their fingers and all their supply issues have washed away with saying “that was 2022”. So would I have had to wait yet another 8 months? A year?

Now I know the market value is insane right now for anything. I was looking at many different vehicles to meet a set of criteria for my needs and it always kept coming back to the Maverick also part of my need was entering into a relationship with this dealership. I cannotstress enough how poorly I felt I was treated even when the Renegade was the 3rd consecutive new vehicle I purchased from that particular dealer since 2008 and I was willing to overpay to cut ties with them.

Hello. Can I ask when you received the email from Ford confirming your build date? I ask because I stopped by my dealer yesterday to discuss the 6/29 email, and he informed me that I was scheduled for the August 29th build (Lariat Lux hybrid w/ 360, 10/23/21 order date, for those of you keeping score. And according to him, there are no restrictions). He said he received an email and that I should get one as well. But I'm just curious when you found out.

I was wondering what options YOU have, just trying to figure out what might be the difference on the push back. Thanks.

Probably yes, but pretty soon they may go over 100K Maverick VINs. When they do the VINs will go from NRA99999 to NRB00000. So we will have to start looking for that last letter before the numbers.
