I'm guessing a handful will roll over. We'll have 2 more weeks to schedule this cycle, it bleeds into July. But I don't imagine they would schedule all of them in 2 weeks. We have plenty of configurations available to schedule, so they must not have capacity.
Thank you for the update Zach. I am hoping I get picked over the next 2 weeks, if not theres always july😁

@Granger Ford

When will you guys reach out to get 2023 orders?
My guess would be when the official order banks open in mid-August. I don't work for them but I can't imagine why they would reach out for 2023 orders when no orders are being taken. Dealers taking "orders" or "pre-orders" for 2023's right now... I would not trust that dealer.

You may or may not have heard of us but we are active on the B6G (Bronco 6G) and F series 14G (F-150 14th Gen) forums and are here now to help as I can, there is not tons of info out yet but here is our offer to you on the forum....

I will answer questions as I can, I try to be available most of the time however I have a full time job at the dealership (Granger Ford in Granger Iowa)

I will do my best to provide accurate (not speculative) comments, will not bash any dealership or participate therein...

There are many great dealerships in the US to choose from, Stephens Automotive in WV comes to mind with John Holstein doing a bang up job there...

Question has been PM's to me now more than once so on here is goes...

Is the 3% below invoice of of the just the base vehicle...

No we are taking the 3% under invoice from all of the models, the only exception would be a "Raptor" SVT type of vehicle that is severely limited in production compared to the normal lineup..

· Can we sell the Maverick at 3% Under Invoice?

I have personally visited with a Ford employee about our pricing and confirmed we can sell at any price we choose. If you look at our website pricing on all our vehicles we have transparent upfront pricing without the need to negotiate.

That is our business model and the Maverick is no different. This is a mass produced vehicle and we will not take advantage of the initial demand and mark vehicles at MSRP or higher.

· Are there any hidden fees/Additions?

The state of Iowa has a state regulated documentation fee of $180. We will not throw on mandatory add ons or fees for other items that you do not want or need. There is a Transit tag for out of state that the fee is $45... Those are the only upcharges that will apply to the price of the truck...

We will offer financing, extended service contracts, accessories, and protection products that are all completely optional and up to the discretion of the consumer.
@Granger Ford do you plan to offer this discount again for 2023 orders or is this TBD?

@Granger Ford Any Hybrids with C360 or SIBL get scheduled this week? Just saw some of the 3K off crowd get VINs. At this point I'm SOL, since I'm priority two, but people months behind me are getting scheduled.:(

Sorry, I saw this too late to see what we did specifically last week. About 30% of our most recent scheduled orders were Hybrids though.

How many more allocations do you have at this point?

I dont think GrangerFord was doing any shipping. I got the $3,000 off MSRP deal, and will be flying out from Abilene Tx. hopefully in september.

Might be a fun road trip, but do manufacturers not still recommend mixing road types for first few thousand miles. The first 1100 miles (for me and I suspect similar distance for you) all being highway, would that be good for the truck?

I also see now (when not just reading first page and last two pages as I did initially just to see if any mention of '23 Models) that lots of people discussed the flying there and driving back...

Although I don't see anyone bring up the concern of miles being all highway, not mixed miles as is recommended (or at least used to be recommended) for new vehicles.

When I bought my 2007 mustang GT I was told to just drive it. That being said I never hammered on it until it had about 3k on the odometer which was long enough for the rings to seat. What I did do was road trips where I varied the speed on the cruise from 60 to 75, back down to 70, then to 65 and kept varying it every 50 miles or so. Car doesnt burn any oil. At 3K I switched to synthetic in the mustang.

Maverick uses synthetic from the get go, so I dont know how much ring seating your going to get if the crankcase on these starts off with the really slippery stuff from the get go. The whole very the speed thing may no longer be necessary on new stuff compared to the good ole days, or any of the old skool engines I build.

I got a 390 inch stroker Chrysler 318 that I plan on varying the engine speeds on break in with dino oil before switching it over to synthetic, but that engine is old skool, flat tappet camshaft, pushrods and rocker arms. Ditto for the 408 inch stroker Chrysler 360 in the shop corner awaiting assembly. Flat tappet cams you need to run single weak springs no more than about 90 lbs open seat pressure, ZDDP additive, and Shell Rotella T diesel engine formulated oil for break in because of how easy it is to wipe out a cam lobe on initial break in. After break in I swap in 340 springs with dampers.

I plan on adding an oil catch canister to the upper PCV vent line since turbo engines tend to suck crankcase oil vapors right back through the intake and intercooler, and over time tend to coke up the intake valves. This was a common problem on my turbo Chryslers in the 80s and 90s. It has not changed, only the vehicle name has.

We'll have a special for 2023, it won't be aggressive as 2022. We'll announce it closer to the opening of the order banks.

Now, for the big question: If I were to order from you, how long would it take to get a Maverick? If you could get one (hybrid XLT) within a month I would come right over there from Illinois.

I hear, understand, but still have a question. How is it that the cams made today need such a sensitive 'break in' compared to cams coming off the assembly line back in 1939, 1964, and 1987, to pick arbitrarily?
I read of new cams, new lifters, running @2k for 20 minutes, etc, and then blammo, a tappet eats a lobe... Waaaahhhh!. Could it be the newer cams are not finished as well as in the past? Could the tappet/lifter faces be non-hardened or whatever makes them work in shear not be done properly? Never heard of so many cam failures as in the recent past.
As far as driving from Granger in a brand new vehicle, IMO, a long drive would give the best break-in. IF, you vary the speed. If you put it in cruise, and forget it, I am not sure it is as good as manually changing speed on an irregular basis. I liked to change speed on a quarter hour or so interval. Accelerate gently to 10mph faster, take my foot off the gas pedal, and let the engine coast and pull a good vacuum. Hopefully, no guarantee, there would be a bit of oil pulled up on the cylinder walls to lube and cool, and to give them a short respite from hard work. I could be out to lunch, but that's what I would recommend to any new purchaser.
