600 Miles Per Tank Hybrid Maverick club

You guys are doing good. Im getting just under 500 miles. Ac on full blast now that its 110 plus. I try pretty hard to improve it but I cant drive slow here or I'll get run over. No highway driving. 38 mpg is about the best I'm seeing these days

Now 6/10/2022, gas here is $5/gallon. It takes $180 for you to go 600 miles. My hybrid Maverick takes $70. Enjoy your gas hog.

Pretty sure you knew it was suppose to be Gas Hog.
Anyway if my new house had a bigger garage I would have ordered a New F250 with a 7.3L gasser. As I really don't care about FE unless we are talking about 6mpg, that would be annoying. Anything at 15 and above is cool.
Not into the battery thing but figured I would give the hybrid a whirl. If I find it annoying I'll dump it and get something different.

Its really amazing what the price point is before it effects people, $5 RUG hasn't slowed down or bothered anyone here i can tell. So the price point is $6, $7, $8 gal? I kept my f150 3.5 that can muster 25mpg, however I am putting the miles on the 53mpg Mav. I have noticed just a handful of people slowing down and doing the speed limit!!

Then there's the people that put $5 worth of RUG in their tank, said it will get me to work. Well now you got to stop and get fuel on the way home.

They said the same about cigarettes.

"I'll quit when they're $3 a pack," "$5", "$10".... They'll never reach a point they'll quit. They'll just complain about the price.

People driving gas hogs are the same way. They'll complain. But have no intent on doing anything about it.

They'll never do anything to better themselves because that would mean they're admitting they have a problem.

On a road trip. Didn't get to 600 because I bought with over a hundred to go due to price where I was traveling. But the 608mte was nice. Considering it stayed at 608 or higher in the 24.9 miles I drove on it before it started dropping.

45mph seems to be the sweet spot for best mpg for long distances. Max speed on this has been 50mph with a few stop lights but mostly tourist driving in Northern Michigan.

Syk..good point..there is no point for most mericans..not enough pain yet.

Nw..i hear ya, i didnt see what you did, i rescued people and saw some pretty nasty medavac stuff. But yes there are vets dieing for OUR way of life..Dont take it for granted.

Are you using ac?

Not Mavforever, but we're currently sitting at 48.3mpg after ~1450 miles. My wife won't get in a car without the AC on, pretty much ever, and she is the primary driver.

Next in the 600 mile club, running down the interstate 60-70 about 60/40 highway/city with A/C blasting all the way.
