I've gotten my 6th rescheduled email for like the 4th week in a row. It's a brutal tease.

They must not be sending the emails out immediately upon production day scheduling because I found out through my dealer today that Ford scheduled my order to be built on 4/25 yesterday. I did/have not received an email from Ford regarding this update.

I, for one, just want to shell game to end. I've been waiting since last July and JUST got a VIN number. The dealer tells me that I have a build week but not a day. I was so excited for this truck to be my very first brand new 'car'. To have the process drag on for a year is just brutal. Give me a date. Stick to the date. Keep me informed if and when things change. I know I'm not buying high end but I'm still spending a lot of money and the buying experience has been sub-optimal, to say the least. I hope you make this work, @Ford Motor Company. I really do, but I'm losing hope.

Your comment for me justifies the change Ford introduced, they have too many supply chain uncertainties and needed to address how unprofessional all those adjustments appeared. I would have proposed the same in a corporate environment.

I guess I should fire my HVAC contractor, who hasn't been able to get the AC system in because of supply constraints for someone who can. Oh, wait. Every single HVAC contractor is in the same position.

While I'm at it, maybe I should fire my architect, because he's been unable to get permits as quickly as he thought he could. But then, I'd have to start the whole process over again and guess what? I'll have an even LONGER wait to get the necessary permits.

And maybe I should never shop at Costco for supplies again, because they often don't have them in stock. Yup, I should go to Restaurant Depot instead. Or Amazon. One problem. They don't have them either.

There is a difference between unethical business behavior and simply not having the supplies needed to fulfill the order. If you can't tell the difference, I can't help you.

But go ahead and rant if it makes you feel better.

One thing it won't do?

Get you your truck any sooner. You'll probably end up throwing a fit, cancelling your order and then your dealer will gladly turn around and sell it with a big markup. Yeah, you really showed them. They made more money.
Your ranting against other people's ranting solves everything.

To complicated to comprehend? Any company that takes a firm order that they now need you to make excuses for their not timely fulfilling it, and for unstated nor communicated clear reasons, that you seek to justify from your own assumptions, and not from their direct communications, is unethical corporate behavior on many levels. Perhaps you will next claim that large dealer price adjustments are also OK and the disregarding of the principle of FIFO, irrespective that is what the customer's presumptive rational to purchase from their neighborhood dealer was, and that is also ethical corporate behavior you defend, and OK they use some other convoluted secretive system to dole out a product and excuse their lack of meaningful and timely communication as very acceptable SOP is sad! Sounds like a career as an efficiency expert is your calling! God help us all as some will starve as it's to hard to distribute goods and services equitably! You do you, and anyone with a differing perspective is ranting!

See 6 more weeks until the weekly notification comes close to the old volume and we can start doing our best guestimates for our orders. Leaning heavier and heavier to expecting a Aug 16 meeting with my order that will be come a MY23 order. Under the old email system of about 7-8 weeks notice was guessing Sept 29th notification.

Even that seems optimistic as the order date, but then constraints come into play. Will be come the 'waiting for a year or more club'. Perhaps that should be the name of a new sub forum in June.

Did Ford give you a date certain on the delivery of your truck?

Then as Shakespeare said, what you wrote is "a tale...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

You did accomplish something, though.

You're the first person going to the block list because you ain't got nothing to contribute to my life.

Throw your temper tantrum and toss your word salad with someone else.

Might I suggest getting a life instead? I mean, honestly. You're a January order which means you're at the back of the line. There is no need to harass people who do not have the power to help you. Either wait for your truck (which will eventually come) or buy something else. Some of you really need to stop being such cry babies about shit that isn't even that important - like where's my new vehicle.
There are some people who think that yelling at someone who has absolutely no power to fix their problem is a good strategy.

The thing is, after all their yelling, they're still stuck with the problem.

A daily call to Ford ain't gonna get the truck there any faster.

@Ford Motor Company : Not sure how you have the opinion there are problems with getting to many emails. I have not heard anyone complain of getting to many emails. It would be nice to know at the earliest when things are changing with orders. It is very hard to make future discissions of ordering items for my truck and determine my future plans for vehicles with out knowing approximate dates of schedule, build and delivery. I wish you would go back to giving this information, to much information is better then none at all. Not sure if you ever ordered any thing but not getting updates is not the answer. Maybe you should email people with orders and ask if they would like information on their build, I would assume most would say yes.

Have a great day,
Future Maverick owner

Relying on Ford to send an email is like depending on the Vikings to win a Super Bowl. I still have yet to see one message from Ford about my order, whether it be a confirmation, FITS crap or blanket garbage email. The only thing I ever receive from them is a reminder that my FordPass balance is zero. No, they are not blocked and nothing shows in spam so it's obvious they never send them. The only way to get any solid info is to get in touch with Ford Marketing and talk to a real person. This will be my 10th and final new Ford I purchase.
And the build date finally arrived (week of May 23), announced by my dealer. Still no emails from Ford, but it's finally moving forward.

Well, actually it was Macbeth who said that and by your cute, "you aint got nothing" soliloquy, I apologize that I used big words as I didn't realize your lack of "edification" {SIC}! Good luck with your pre-Maverick's delivered learner's permit test!

I heard from the Maverick Brand Manager and found out that they changed when the scheduling emails are sent.

Old system: You received an email as soon as your vehicle received a VIN and scheduled build week. As well as an email if the build week changed or was moved.

New system: You receive an email once your vehicle gets a scheduled build day. Which probably happens about 1-2 weeks out from your build day. Ford was finding that because orders were moving around, they wanted to avoid inundating customers with vehicle scheduled emails. So you may have a build week and vin and not know it until it gets a "Schedule to Day" status.

I voiced my feedback (as a order holder myself) to him. Feel free to tag @FordMotorCompany and voice your opinion. Only way things change is with feedback.

Updated with latest video:

That's bad. I want the vin ASAP so I can lock in financing. And, I wish to be inundated with some emails. Been waiting almost 6 months and the only communication I have received from Ford was this vague acknowledgement I received a couple of weeks ago.
