Im gonna be the odd guy out here. I dont mind not knowing until it is actually scheduled to be built. I have to organize a whole vacation multiple flights and a visit to my dads place in south texas, aswell as coordinate time off from work which falls apart without me. If I dont have a specific deliver to Granger date I will just end up fretting and worrying about which flight to get and all that. I know its going to take forever to get my Maverick. As long as I can keep my old jeeps alive and right side up, I can wait.
This is me as well. I've got a business to run. Just let me know when my truck is built and when it's at the dealer. That will give me enough time to call Amex to tell them to expect a $24K charge so they don't deny it. And once I do that, I'll show up, sign the paperwork, shake the salesperson's hand and let them go on to the next customer.

In the end, this is a business transaction. For me, anyway. Some people may have an emotional investment in their truck. Not me. It's just another asset to use to make my business more efficient.

+1 for showing reservations and orders prior to receiving a VIN.
Even just listing that an order is confirmed would have saved a ton of headache and worry.
Have you called Ford recently? From what I've seen on these threads most June, July, August orders are starting to get VINs and build dates.

I can't. It's part of the lux pack and I refuse to remove it. It shouldn't be as much of an issue because plenty of SIBL's are still getting done on similar builds that were ordered long after mine (and before they switched to DIBL's).
That's good to know. You are such an early order, hope you get a VIN and build date soon. I ordered 7/21 and just crazy long to wait.

Dealer order # --32, Hybrid XLT 360. confirmed Sept. nothing from Ford since. Dealer order # --33, [10 minutes after order # --32]-- Eco. XLT, FX4, 360, 4K.
It's called they make more profit on the XLT so that's why it gets built first.
They are both XLTs. The difference is one (not yet scheduled) is a Hybrid and one (Scheduled) is an EcoBoost. EBs were being pumped out for a good two months before Hybrids got the OKTB (and were no longer being scheduled).

I'm not sure how to post something here without it being a "reply". Can anyone help with that?
Regardless, Delzona posted these contacts last month. I emailed them being a July order and not expecting anything, but two weeks later someone from their department emailed me directly with my VIN and build date as they said they researched what was holding it up. It was not the typical Thursday that used to go out. Anyways, thanks @Delzona...

I'm a bit confused, your post says you're getting an Ecoboost, yet your signature says you changed to a hybrid. I'm guessing you changed back?
I originally ordered an Ecoboost so that's the only emails I have. I haven't gotten any emails after i changed to Hybrid.

This is a fake email i created so i just used what i have at hand.

I heard from the Maverick Brand Manager and found out that they changed when the scheduling emails are sent.

Old system: You received an email as soon as your vehicle received a VIN and scheduled build week. As well as an email if the build week changed or was moved.

New system: You receive an email once your vehicle gets a scheduled build day. Which probably happens about 1-2 weeks out from your build day. Ford was finding that because orders were moving around, they wanted to avoid inundating customers with vehicle scheduled emails. So you may have a build week and vin and not know it until it gets a "Schedule to Day" status.

I voiced my feedback (as a order holder myself) to him. Feel free to tag @FordMotorCompany and voice your opinion. Only way things change is with feedback.

Updated with latest video:

I still wonder if there is any actual method to the madness. I received word via phone call from my Ford dealer after their Tuesday notifications from high up that I have a build date the first part of May. I ordered my blue hybrid w/360 w/hitch on July 27th. I called the Ford/Maverick number and they gave me my VIN number. No emails received. No other notifications of any kind. Kendall Ford in Meridian, ID has been very up front on the whole process(?).

@Ford Motor Company
Dear Ford
I agree with what others have said but I do have somethings to add:
I've been buying Fords for the last 45 years or so and I can attest that Ford makes the best truck in America however you have the worst PR/Customer service, its almost as if you don't like us or something?.
So I'm asking, no begging, please do not let the Executive in charge of this mess anywhere near Engineering or Manufacturing. (at least not until you build my Maverick)
Also it would be in the best interest of the company and your stockholders to simply fire this person and hire Tim. Give him a corner office pay him a couple of million a year with stock options and Ford will be a much better more profitable company.
Your old buddy
Bill
I have a feeling @fordvideoguy is in a position to make the greatest impact for LM and Ford. His 20 years have seen him evolve from an Internet manager to E-commerce Director. He's got the complete trust of LM's GM and owners to promote and draw buyers to Salina, through superior customer service. His fantastic rapport with the Brand Manager enables the MTC to have access to rare factual information from Ford. Finally, as they say, you can take Tim out of Kansas, but you'll never take the Kansas out of Tim.

My .02. I would like to receive 4 emails.
1, we have your order. It is confirmed.
2, your truck is built.
3, your truck is shipped
4, your truck is ready to pick up.
I don't want any more than that.

Well...you're clearly in the minority.

If order to delivery was 3 months, I'd agree with you. But I'm looking at 11 months. That's too long to hear no news of progress, especially when it's need made clear that many orders won't be fulfilled!

Ford hasn’t been building the maverick for 11 months yet, so it’s impossible for you to have been waiting 11 months for your build. Ford started SLOWLY building in September under the old Allocation process and started ramping up just in time for Christmas, now there are constraints. So you’ve actually been waiting around 5 months But who’s counting.
