Hi All. If I have a VIN number but no build date, what does that mean? It will be scheduled soon?

If you have a VIN, then you should have a build week as well.

Totally agree. What has 99% of the dealers done to deserve ANY money from these customer orders ? Way back when in 2021 ...... we were told to go to the Ford website and basically build or trucks which then was automatically sent to the nearest dealership. You had to go there, give a DL and a signature and then HOPE they entered the order correctly. Once that happened they they ignore you until the order arrives - you get the phone call - umm yeah this is Joe Blow from XYZ dealership - your Maverick is here - you don't want it do you ? ( because we really want to mark it up 15K and sell it ) ohh OK well I guess we will get it ready ( Which you paid for as well )

Yes boys and girls, this is one "system" where customer service doesn't matter, Dealers on the whole just care about making huge profits and after they get your order they are pretty much done. (You might have one of the 1% dealers that actually cares ) "Could" Ford do something about no customer service - yes. Do they currently - No. Will this change yup. Eventually the model will change and hopefully this greedy, no service, dishonest, middleman will be out of the picture.


Its the original build week date - until they extend it ......... then extend it ........ hahahahaha

Simple change by Ford could deter much of the fraud and ADM. All vehicles with a green window stick must sell at MSRP or less. Available pre-ordered vehicles should also be offered to anyone with pending orders prior to open to public sales. Blue window stickers are a free for all for the dealers.

Got an email on Sunday from the sales manager at our Ford dealership that the hybrid we'd originally ordered, back on June 13th, was released and is awaiting shipment.

We'd switched our order to an Ecoboost AWD that we were scheduled to pick up this week, and now we're switching back. Hopefully it will be ready by the time we need to pick our daughter up from University at the end of the year.

I did verify with the online tracker. However, all it shows is my order and build info. It doesn't show the window sticker or have the build week.

Oh, and your dealer or Ford should be able to tell you your build date. It won't show up in the tracker. It did show up in the emails, but don't think those are coming anymore.

Still no notification on my truck.. almost to the point of giving up on it and cancelling..

I feel the same June 15th but I’m afraid if I cancel I might get a notice it’s on the way. I’ve been feeling this a long time I’m Hanging in because I just feel like I’m hooked in emotionally.

On line tracker? My dealer did not inform me of this, how do I access?

Just checked the status on my FX4 Lariat and it's showing "in production" . I can now view the window sticker and all that but still no idea when I'll get it.

It will show up like this after you put in your order number and vin. It won't show your build date as only Ford or your dealer can tell you that. You'll also have to wait about a week before your build date to receive your window sticker.

Don't hold your breath. Oct Eco Boost XLT still no build order. This is part of the reason I'm seeing more and more empty vacant Ford dealerships around the country.

Did you also both call the Ford 1-800 number to ask about a VIN as they are not sending emails? Seems like many June, July and August orders are now receiving VINs, but mine is a bare bones XLT, so maybe that has something to do with it?

So nobody got build dates last week? Did they allocate production to dealers instead of customer orders?

People definitely got build dates, just nobody got the typical “your vehicle has been scheduled for production “ emails. Still unknown as to why.

Maybe @fordvideoguy will have some insight on it in his livestream this week?

Yep, call your dealer and Ford directly to see if they have your VIN (especially if you are June, July, August order). I never got an email, but they provided me with a VIN and build date last week.

Johnny Car Care & Reviews said the the chip maker in Japan had their factories up and running Mar 23rd. Perhaps that explains a weak weak of scheduling.
