Still waiting for mine (ordered in July, ETA March 19 - 25).
Seems everyone is happy with their truck.
Just wondering if anyone regrets their purchase (this is my first Ford)

I doubt the guy with the blown transmission, or the one with the blown engine, are thrilled. Both of those were posts I've seen here on this forum, but don't have links handy.

There have been numerous other complaints, such rattling hoods, loud engine noise, lack or insulation between cab and bed, lack of barrier to prevent salt and mud from being kicked up into rear tail light area on driver's side, etc.

So, I think it's safe to say the Maverick is not a perfect vehicle and is not batting 1.000 on reliability or customer satisfaction.

That said, the VAST majority of owners certainly seem pleased, and I remain enthusiastic about purchasing my truck should Ford ever build it.

I'll be ticking over 4k miles later today and I'm still in love with this thing. I will admit that I've been thinking about selling to Carmax and putting that extra money for a down payment for a house. My only real grip with the truck is that I wish it had more features for its price point.

My girlfriend recently got a great deal on a pre-owned 2019 Crosstrek and the features it has for its price point blows the Mav out of the water. Heated seats, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, hell of alot better backup camera etc. These are some things that I wish my XLT Maverick had for what I paid for it (features in my sig). But at the same time this truck has been fantastic to drive and the right size for my use. Don't get me wrong, I love this truck but I wish ford had added a bit more features for what I paid.

Sounds like you really wanted the XLT LUX but settled for what you could find. Everything in life is a tradeoff. I have an XLT LUX, AWD, EB, 4K, FX4 on order. Despite what Ford says, I am NOT willing to drop the LUX package to get built sooner, and I'm actually kind of nervous Ford is going to build my truck and ship it without all the chips so stuff like my heated seats won't work if/when the truck shows up. If I did not want that stuff, I would have saved myself the $2,500 cost of the LUX package and not ordered it. The fact that I am willing to pay it means I want it.

Your profit will go 'poof' within one year of housing price increases in terms of the impact of a slightly higher down payment, I wouldn't recommend that as a basis for selling the truck unless you have another vehicle lined up at a really great price point. It seems it would be a wash otherwise.

I’m in love with my hybrid XL! I love the way it drives, smooth ride, and versatility! I have a hybrid XLT with CP360 and the lux pkg I placed on 19 October. At this point in time, I doubt if I’m going to see it this model year. So, until then, I’ll keep enjoying this hybrid XL every single day!!

I’m the type that never sets expectations too high because I know all too well they end in disappointment, so it would take some serious craziness for me to disappointed in the cheapest new truck on the market. do I have some minor gripes? Sure (such as the earlier mention of sand looking like it’s oozing out of my driver side rear tail light, a little bumpier ride on rough roads than I’d like, etc…)
Do I love my truck? Absolutely, and the fact I got a brand new AWD vehicle that’s everything I need and more for 26k (and cheaper than I could find anything used with 70k+ miles that even came close to checking all the “needs” boxes) is just icing on the cake.
Do I still wish it wasn’t a Ford? Yeah, I do, but there’s nothing Close on the market in the price range I wanted to pay that comes close

I received my XLT LUX (SIBL), Hybrid, 360, Alto Blue two weeks ago, and I am extremely happy with the truck so far. My fiancee has a 2021 Crosstrek Limited, and both our cars occupy around the same price point. I will concede that her car feels more high-end, with the leather and adaptive cruise control and stuff. However, I still feel like both cars are 100% worth what we paid for them. While I might not have adaptive cruise control or AWD, I have 120-volt ac outlets and a much smoother transmission, and I also have a lot more available utility, having the truck bed. I also get better fuel economy, so the price I pay for gas will offset the price of the truck, especially since I drive 650-1000 miles a week!

from your signature " 12/22: Found an XLT Cactus Grey Ecoboost W/AWD/XLT/FX4/Copilot360/Rear Window/Moonroof coming to a dealer as a stock order "

I'm guessing you paid $5k-10k ADM to get that stock unit instead of waiting for your ordered unit and have buyer's remorse from that hasty decision. That would skew the "price point" you are bench-marking against. And comparing against a 3 years old Crosstrek that is a CUV- NOT- a truck? 🙃

Have only had mine roughly 6 days. And for the most part I like the trucklet. There are a few things I wish it came with. One being rear floor mats, one touch window open and close, true keyless entry( this where you take your hand and slide it between the door and the handle with the keys in your pocket) and push button start on at least the XLT trim and up.

Took it on a 1000 mile trip the day after picking it up. It performed pretty well. I REALLY like the power! It puts a grin on my face in sport mode! Coming from a 2.0T Alfa Romeo with a little bit more HP and TQ. I'm not left wanting in that department at all! It's not going to take curves like the Alfa. But it can sure move when you need it to! The onboard 400w inverter comes in handy! My daughter loves it! I like all of the extra storage under the seat. The doors have a solid sound when closing. I wasn't expecting that.

I'll consider the tune in the future. After I get the crappy standard audio system upgraded. No way to put it gently. The audio system sucks. lol
