Check your SPAM!
My vehicle shipped this week and is in transit. I did not receive this email and wouldn't have expected to. I've received all the other emails at the various checkpoints along the order process. It's not in my spam either. So perhaps this blanket email didn't go to every customer who hasn't yet made the purchase.

Yup. Hybrid XLT Lux.

I love how it's an "important update" but doesn't tell us a thing

This is like how you start an apology conversation but you really don’t want to apologize to the person but you feel like you should. 😂

I think this is hilarious, people have been whining incessantly about not getting communication from Ford and now that they have they're pissed off with the communication. This place is pure entertainment for me. I've been saying all along, what's an email going to do? How is it going to improve your situation? It's just more time Ford employees waste NOT doing things relevant to actually making vehicles, sourcing parts, fixing REAL problems.
Lol. Yeah, we really want the communications major who wrote this to be bolting on tailgates.

First I got an email that my build week was March 7th, then I got one that said it had been moved to March 14th, and the last one that said it had been moved to March 28th. Today I got an email that it has been built and they are inspecting it before shipment. I can expect it at my dealer April 2-8. What a surprise! I hope they aren't joking.

Thanks for the info.
I did not know about the expiration of a pin on an order already placed. Seems a bit unreasonable when it's Ford's fault it took so long for delivery but then, nothing has been all that reasonable about this ordering and delivery.

Since the XLT doesn't have a pin associated with it, it seems I could buy it at the price quoted at order and then re-sell without endangering pin eligibility in the future.

I wonder if it's possible to get another pin issued when the current one expires or if I have to wait for delivery of the vehicle.
might be some flexibility with expiration, but when they expire from non use you don’t lose the allotment, you can just get a new pin.

Yes, nothing in spam. But if I received an email from Ford providing my build date, obviously they have my email! For you to conclude that because some folks didn't get this useless update email, that they are not in Ford's system, is bad
information!
First of all I absolutely said for people to check with their dealer. Second of all, my statement isn't absolute or I wouldn't have suggested to contact their dealer. Third, this is not Maverick specific, F-150, Mustang, and Bronco orders are getting the SAME EXACT "Spam Email.

So, let's rephrase the statement if you're so bent out of shape about any member helping others . . .

"Practically Everyone who has an order with Ford for a Car, SUV or Truck got this SAME EXACT email. Those that haven't need to check with their dealer to confirm they have a proper email on record just to be sure"

It could be possible some people didn't get the email but have an email registered with Ford but most who didn't get it found it in their Spam folder.

From what facts we know, what would you conclude?

I got the email and I am confused...what is the "Important Update"?
I have read it 20 times and I don't see any update.

I got the email... then I "lol"ed and put my phone back on to the holder in my brand new Prius.. I feel bad for everyone waiting but Ford continues to reassure me I made the right decisions to move on.

I got the same email for all three of my orders (see signature). I've got to hand it to Ford, they sent a 3 paragraph email with the title "A change in your 2022 Maverick XLT order" with the sub header "Important news on the status of your new Ford" that contains no information about any changes or the status of my order.

Thanks again for placing your 2022 Maverick XLT order. While we’ve been busy working to get your new vehicle into production, we’ve run into a few delays.

What sort of delays? How long?

Sometimes certain features or options can lengthen the time before a vehicle is scheduled for production.

Sometimes they can. Are any of my options causing a lengthening of the time before my vehicle is scheduled for production? Who knows? Apparently Ford doesn't know since they don't point out that in my case some options are causing delays.

We know there’s a lot of anticipation when it comes to getting into a new vehicle, so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. Once your vehicle is ready to move into the production schedule, you’ll be hearing from us again.

I can only hope that any future "updates" actually contain some updated information. This email manages to say nothing in three paragraphs.

I suspect this is the first of several "communications" that will eventually result in notification that my orders are being bumped to the 2023 model year.

Thanks for seeing the obvious in my posts and not accusing me of any nefarious conduct. Your proof that there are exception to the rule. I'll just note that some email accounts can be set up to Delete Spam as soon as it comes in.

This is an email ramped across many of the Ford forums for more than just the Maverick. Many, like myself found it in the Spam folder. Had I not, I would be contacting my dealer Monday morning just to make sure my email was correctly entered into the system.
