Ford "Order Update" email

I ordered a 2024 Maverick back on the first day of the order banks opening. I just received my second email from Ford updating me on my status and was curious if the "Order ID 0704" means anything, ie. the 704th 2024 order put in?

No. That is the order number that is unique to your dealer. Others at a different dealership could have the same order number as you.

Every dealer can also choose their formatting and letters are allowed (e.g. seen several here along the lines of P100). It's however each individual dealer wants to track their orders internally.

It could be employee with the code #07's 4th order of the year or month, 4th order of the month of July (07), the dealerships 704th order of the year/all time, etc. Maybe they just throw 4 darts at a board - you never know
