I am starting to wish I had just bought a Tesla. I received a confirmation from ford but my sales rep never gave me an order number or dealer code so ford can’t look anything up. My sales rep has been less than helpful since putting my order in. This cartel style dealership model really needs to end.

If you really want to blame anyone, blame corrupt union leaders, the North American Auto Dealers Association which pumps millions of dollars in lobbying money to keep the laws in the dealer's favor and not the buying publics and the corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle that we keep electing who don't care about us and care more about the corporations.

Also, not many people are cross shopping a 20k Mav hybrid and a minimum 45k Tesla.

What would be the union's interest/involvement in preserving the dealership sales model?

One of the first time I called they were able to look up my info without the order and dealer code. Probably just depends on who answers the call and how helpful they want to be.

The dealer should have given you a print out before you left the lot after placing an order. Did they give you anything? The codes for mine were on the second page. If it is any help the order code is the last 4 digits of my cell phone. If you call, give Ford your name, email and phone number but tell them you don't know the sales code and say you think your order code might be the same as the last 4 of your phone. Surely they could look something up based on email, name and phone.

And I see not a SINGLE email yet today so maybe it's an off day?

Well, struck out again today. :-( just called and no truck and no $100 gift card. I told her dealership is sitting on $500 deposit and she didn’t seem to budge. Anywho. I’m over being disappointed at this point. was hoping the luck of the Irish today since my surname lineage is Irish but maybe it’s the curse of the Irish instead.

That’s good to know. Maybe they were just busy today. This whole dealer allocation thing is still very strange. I ordered late so I am not expecting anything, but it does seem if they just went on a first come first serve basis they would have a better idea of overall build dates.

July 21 order of hybrid and no email. Called Ford to check and still no vin number. But I did ask about the gift card and she gave me one. So if you call and they don’t bring it up, I juggest asking for it.

July 21 xlt hybrid order all constraints removed. Do these emails always come out in the morning? I can't find one person who has confirmed a scheduled build today. Maybe still hope...

Some times they go out on Friday. That’s the way it’s seems to be looking for this week

I got my email from Ford for the $100 Gift Card after I called!!! At least it is something....
Still waiting for my July 7 XLT Hybrid order, hopefully I get 2 emails from Ford today!!!

And now that email is at the top of my Email box taunting me!!!

I just called. No gift card mentioned either. It was odd that they had a different address listed on file for my order at Mullinax Apopka. They had an Apopka address listed on file for me, but not even close to my actual address and it wasnt the dealerships address. Maybe an employee put their address on it?
