You are correct, the 16th it is. I stand corrected.
And October 24th is when MY23 production begins, per the same Ford announcement about the 8/16 order start date.

@fordvideoguy mention Ford will produce Mavericks until September. This means scheduling will halt in July so the pushed orders will have 30 days to modify their trims and options before August 16th.

Speaking of produced Mavericks; Long McArthur received four trucks last night to go with the ten that arrived on Thursday. If you a YT member only, Tim read off the order codes to let you know about your A51, Cyber Orange, HPR or Carbonized Gray trucks.

I wonder if September means Sept. 1, Sept. 14, Sept. 27 ?

In all likelihood, it means through all of September, and a week or two into October. MY23 production starts 10/24, and they’re not going to leave the plant idle for multiple weeks before that.

I or
I ordered an hybrid XLT lux/360 in August so hoping to see a build date soon. I too have considered cancelling and going with something else. An elk totaled my daily driver last August and I average about a 100 miles a day for work. I need a commuter and not really a truck (I already have an F250) , but every time I start looking at other vehicles nothing else comes close to the gas mileage, options, appeal or price for the money. Since I'm an August order I'm pretty sure I'll get my truck by this summer, but seeing all the folks who ordered in June and July that are still waiting for a build date is pretty depressing and I feel their pain. Like others I was told by the end of the year when I placed the order. Silly me for assuming they meant the end of 2021!
I ordered in Aug also got a build date April 25. Now they have taken my build and put it back to order received.!

You will have to sit down with your dealer, go over any changes and basically reorder your truck for 23. You will still be at the mercy of Ford's allocation system and IMO not necessarily be prioritized any differently than any other 23 order.
So basically start over at square one?? Swell. 😣

I believe Tim Bartz said something about the new order for 23 would have a different priority number that designates it as a carry over from 22. But, with Ford's allocation system and whatever constraints there might be in 7 months when they start production, it's not like your truck is automatically going to get built as one of the first 23s. I suspect that original orders placed for 23 will go before some hold overs from 22, maybe lots of them. If their allocation system didn't treat your dealer well in 22 and there are a lot of orders ahead of you, it won't be much better in 23. Maybe not square one, but it's certainly complicated.

Exactly. June orders are already in front of every month of '22 but we still see those not built. '22 vs '23 will probably be the same...

EDIT - this is not to say Tim mislead us, I believe he is the most honest Ford guy at the company. It's just business as usual for Ford

Maybe if they do send out trucks without all chips they'll be able to produce everything for 2022.
If they don't complete the builds - with all parts - then they didn't produce everything. They half-assed it.

I'd accept it if that's what it takes to get the truck. That and a cash discount plus extension of warranty.
That is not surprising given what I'm reading in the other thread. I'm not desperate enough for that. Not for any car of any price, and especially not for a budget pickup.

Can we just scrap the build-to-order sales model altogether? Given the current situation with chip and parts shortages, I think I'd rather see Ford just make Mavericks and send them to dealers outfitted with whatever parts they have. Make as many as they can, as quickly as they can. I guarantee none will go wanting for a buyer even if they have to ship 'em with no wheels!

Damn, I might just give up on a this vehicle and that really sucks to say. I wasn't ready to order at launch, and if I had the LUX package is a must for me. Complete shame to think that whenever I do order for '23, it wouldn't be until mid '24 to receive. Which is just stupid.
I see you are a member since Jan 1, 2021. It's crazy to think that even if you placed an order in June or July you might not even have a truck by now.
