Issues with current Ranger. When taxes come in, I'm gonna get tires.
Also need front bearings, brakes and rotors done!
Will probably keep it, when Maverick arrives.
As a back up for family, if necessary. Or to haul things bigger/heavier
than what the Maverick is rated for. Besides, I think I deserve to buy myself
my first ever brand new vehicle!! Everything else has been preowned.

I was interested in the Maverick when it was announced but wasn't looking for a new car at the time. It wasn't until October when I would start coming back to the office on some days that hubby and I determined getting me a different car was a good idea.

I live in the Milwaukee area and if you've heard anything about cars in Milwaukee, thefts of Hyundais and Kias has been a major problem these last couple of years. I had a Kia Soul and I work downtown so I was always worried about my car. We ended up selling it, getting a friend's Honda Fit and ordered the Maverick too.

The Maverick is perfect for what we need since we need a vehicle to haul around larger items from Home Depot but also a good road trip vehicle that's somewhat capable since we take a trip out two out west each year. AWD is also a must since I'm in Wisconsin. The price point of the Maverick sealed the deal.

Wanted off road capability for camping in Big Bend and elsewhere. Also wanted a pickup and needed it to fit in the garage. Didn't want a Santa Cruz.

Here's why I bought my Maverick. This is my 2018 Chevy Colorado on fire in my driveway. I needed a truck that I could flat tow, but there was no way I was ever putting myself back in the Colorado. Turned out the Maverick is a much better truck for my needs at a much lesser price.

She good, just buff that right out and duct tape. Glad you guys are ok. Maybe pick up a couple fire extinguishers 🧯 this cheap one is good for in house issues. Have to get a tank one for a car.

I always wanted a truck to haul things like wood, camping gear, and trash to the dump. However, I need a daily commuter with good mpg to get to work (60 miles round-trip). Finally a truck that meets my needs!

Damn! I have spare fire extinguishers. After seeing this pic, I'm putting one in the Maverick!!!

After selling my EV in January, driving my ‘02 F250 diesel on two 1000 mile trips in one month and looking at my credit card charges for fuel I needed to do something ASAP! I had a maverick EB on order but then decided to start calling around to find a Hybrid and lucked into my FE hybrid on 2/22/22 ! I figured it was meant to be mine after a very bad experience with GY Ford Daytona Beach!

Because Government is going to phase out private ownership of individuals owning vehicles, and implement regulatory action like kill switches be put into all vehicles after 2024.

Pure EV's are chains around the neck to reduce your ability to travel.
They can already "kill" any car remotely should the need arise. GM has had that ability with OnStar for decades, and now most cars are connected to the hive mind in some way. For anyone with thinks that such an idea is a crazy conspiracy theory, just look at what the world's governments have been able to do to Russia in the last 2 weeks. Between direct government actions and public pressure on private corporations, they have effectively cut Russia out of modern society entirely nearly instantaneously.

I didn't buy because it was a Ford, but the first small Hybrid Truck based on a long-term Toyota design. Plus, they just confiscated my $650,000,000 dollar yacht.🖖

It sure beats my ‘’08 Civic. When I priced out a Civic Touring it was almost the same price. This is honestly the perfect truck for the average person. Unless you need the size of a full size for work, I can see it being very popular for years to come especially with high gas prices.

Sold my 2020 Buick Encore for 25K, paid $17,455 OTD

Bought the 2022 Ford Maverick XL, paid $24,168 OTD

So, newer nicer vehicle and a little cash to boot.

Combination of things. Some dipshit crashing their POS Buick into my old Colorado on Christmas morning of 2020, me being tired of used cars that need too much of the driveline rebuilt, the Jeep I bought to replace the truck needing a lot more good money thrown after bad money to get it able to pull even a small camper (tl;dr it's old), I kind of like the tomato "Hot Pepper" red, it's small enough that I can see over the cab, it's small enough that I don't have to worry about mashing pedestrians on the sidewalk, small enough for tight parallel parking...

The 4k tow package (I think the actual sticker code is 53Q) is head and shoulders above the competition. This matters enough to get its own line.

CNN dropped a review of the Maverick at literally at the right time and somehow it caught my attention. At this point, 30% negative equity be damned. I want something that'll last me a good long time and has a warranty.

The 4K is a great Pkg. The Honda Ridgeline which here in Canada is $20,000 more can tow a bit more but does not have the brake controller or able to detect trailer lights out. It is definitely tops in the market.

My purchase was to combine the traits I wanted from an 08 Yaris and a 98 Ranger into a retirement veh for myself. The Maverick provides good mileage and the lift capcity of the two vehicles.
