Unless it is built in US or Mexico, it will be subject to a huge tariff - these are being built in Brazil, which would still be subject to the chicken tax.

Chevy has no chance at a Maverick fighter. Nissan, Jeep, VW all have factories in Mexico, so they have the ground work in place, they just need a legitimate and quality concept.

I read the article and I could not find the mpg ratings? Let guess, it runs on water and leaves trees and green grass wherever it parks!

That looks awful. Unless the bed has flat sides and a vertical rear window making a 90 degree turn, it's not a truck. Just an open trunk.

Why can't manufacturers realize a truck is all about the cargo area.

Rear door handle higher on the white one. Please tell me why anyone in their right mind would even consider a GM product with the way they flake paint.

They're playing catch-up. Most likely designed it then waited in the wings to see how the Maverick would do.
Actually, the Chevy Montana (Tornado) has been sold in Mexico, where they build another compact truck I believe, Latin America, Africa and some other countries since 2003. So you might say Ford was watching and thought it might try again with the small truck ( old Rangers). Ford just got lucky by being the first to install a hybrid engine in a little pickup, an engine which Prius has had for years and a lot of people didn’t really care about. A lot of you younger folks think Maverick is this great concept that Ford invented when in fact a lot of automakers had small pickups in the past and Toyota perfected the Hybrid engine over the last 20+ years. Ford was just lucky by being the first to put two “old” ideas together. And as I said months ago there will be more of the same type trucks coming. And some of you are hysterical about “Looks”. That’s why we have a variety of everything. Personally, I like the look of the Chevy but I like Maverick better. So, when mine comes in 2-3 years, missing items I ordered and wanted, with melting parts and missing chips, at $10K above sticker, I’ll be happy.

I like it. Looks like my new trailblazer. Great vehicle.
The trailblazer is a neat little suv. Chevy messed up with the blazer and are way late to the game with their s10. As noted the mav has that truck look. Seems more capable and apples to apples might even be a little cheaper. Chevy has a job to do with the s10.
