Not in my lifetime - the same could have been stated for the Mustang the first yr. Since this is getting such great accolades I will put my money on the future value - 30-40 years from now, great grand children may enjoy the value? Maybe not...
Never.

Isn’t it great to have choices?
I appreciate choices but the Maverick is unique in it's design especially the hybrid. For the price there's nothing else in comparison.

There are no Jeeps made in France. The Jeep Renegade is made in Melfi, Italy in a Fiat plant. Jeep Compass is made in Mexico at the long-time Chrysler Toluca plant.

All other Jeeps are made in the US.

A SC Hybrid would also be at a much higher cost. The Maverick is the first Hybrid that is LESS expensive than the gas engine version.
Funny thing is even if you wanted to pay $5,000 over sticker price you still can't buy Maverick hybrid. All Hyundai would have to do is have vehicles available.

The old boxy Ford Ranger. Looks a lot like the “New” Maverick. Definitely restrained lines and square proportions of long ago

And then the Hyundai truck of years ago. That thing was super stylish for the time. And now look at how it’s changed. Like it or not, Hyundai is not afraid to change.
But I love the body old ranger. So to me the maverick is a hit. The hyundai is a miss

Funny thing is that I have been driving my 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid for 2 1/2 months.

Agreed! I think the Santa Cruz is ugly, not better styling IMO. The Maverick actually looks like a truck. The Santa Cruz styling is confusing. I kept saying it looks more like a bigger car with a bed, the El Camino reincarnated. It is cool they have better warranty though, if that's true.
Hyundai hasn't built a modern truck before, it better have an epic warranty- they're going to need it!

Yeah but most of the money goes in the other direction. I've been an american factory worker. Nothing romantic about it. I would rather the profits get taxed in america than another country. There are plenty better ways for people in america to make a living than being uneducated with a sore back( like me).
I'm willing to bet the workers in that Hyundai plant in Alabama are pretty happy to be getting a pay check.
Not everyone can go to college and become a lawyer or Doctor, the world needs plumbers, electricians, welders, auto workers, and yes even ditch diggers.
I may be buying a Maverick, but I really wish Ford would build them here in the USA.

Nothing against Alabama. But I'm still happier that "southern" North Americans are building my truck and making a pay check and driving an American industry, instead of some folks in Alabama working hard to make rich Koreans richer. Would it be better if it was all USA, sure but still glad its an American Company.

The SC doesn't appeal to me. I never even considered the SC when I purchased my hybrid XL that I purchased to hold me over until my hybrid XLT with CP and lux pkg gets built, and who knows when that may be?

With gas prices soaring higher and higher, a hybrid is the way to go, and Hyundai SC is a gas engine. No dice for me.

They can use their negative marketing campaign, but from sales experience, negative marketing doesn't work. It devalues what the actual selling points are for your product.

I will tell ya this - If Hyundai had a hybrid "truck" and I could purchase it TODAY I would go buy it immediately after getting close to 7 months on the Ford. Let someone else PLEASE produce something comparable so there is some competition. Why would Ford do anything differently than they are right now with no other alternatives ?
