Just another (and contrary) data point for this. I have 17K miles on my early delivery 2022 FX4 (i ordered my truck on day 2). I have not towed with the truck but it has the tow package.
I had the PTU and 'RD' fluid drained and replaced today at the dealer. I was able to watch the tech dump...
Just try and fluctuate your speed so maybe you go 55 mph and then you accelerate up to 65 mph and back down to 50 mph and then up to 70 mph. You don't have to drive slow to properly break in and motor you just want to be careful that you don't go over the recommended RPMs but you want to put a...
That was sort of my plan when I put the bronze rims on my alto blue back in fall 2021. But i didn't wait for my OEM tires to wear out. Instead I took them off with 40 miles on them and sold em for $450 on craigslist. Then bought new snow tires for $640 and threw them on the stock fx4 wheels. So...
Nah, you're good. Sportbikes do not have a 50/50 weight distribution front to rear. I'd guess the rear wheels are each carrying 100 to 125 lbs each tops. Don't believe me...throw each wheel on a burly bathroom scale. Like scales built for Walmart patrons.
I'd use some heavier straps though.
Your argument is not really compelling. Just get a top box or tonneau (sp?) cover for $3000 or less that will secure your bed items. Guess what, my 3 person tent (probably bigger than this top box tent), sleeping bag and pad fit under the rear seat of my Mav where, you guessed it, it doesn't...
I guess I just don't understand the appeal of camping up on the roof of a truck. I have to pee at least once or twice per night and I imagine it would suck to use a ladder. For less than $1,000 I can get a very nice four person Backpackers tent and a top of the line inflatable camping mattress...
I took my truck to my local dealer for the towing software recall, I requested that they reset my cheapo Amazon tire pressure monitor sensors that i installed with my aftermarket wheels and they reset it while it was hooked up to the computer for the recall - no charge. They work perfectly now.
The headline of this post said OEM wheel specs but I haven't seen the weight of the 18" factory alloys. Has anyone weighed these yet w/o tires?? Thanks!
