I've had snow tires on my truck for all but 700 dry miles so far, and before I get my tires changed over for the summer, I'm wondering how the stock Pirelli's are in the wet. I've read various reviews, some people say they're terrible in the rain, some say their great. Is that actually the case? I drive 30+ miles a day on the interstate, and I'd rather not have tires that are going to be terrible when it rains.

I am in the group that they are junk tires. Just look at them, they have no way of evacuating water efficently so hydroplaning is a problem. If you are not going with an all terrain tire, I would suggest going with a good highway touring tire.

They are not bad tires. Just understand that they are not great ATs. I don’t think it’s worth swapping them out immediately. I’ll probably switch up later maybe next year.
This is my thought as well - average tires but I'm not doing anything crazy so I'll wait until they need to be replaced. They've done well in this Minnesota winter so far.

I have driven on the stock Pirelli’s in both heavy rain and snow covered roads. I have had no issues. They are quiet on dry roads as well. Not too bad in my opinion for a factory tire.

Tires are fine - just fine - if you never take them offroad into mud and snow. They're absolutely not all-terrains, though.

So far so good . great on dry roads . not sure on wet or snow since I live in Florida . not driven in rain yet . will probably replace with michelin tires when needed . only 800 miles .

You might want to search for them on Tire Rack (or somewhere similar) to see a larger sampling of reviews.

I haven’t had any problems in the snow or rain so far, not worth swapping out until they wear out.

Great wet and dry pavement AT's. Very quiet. Perfect for a unibody truck that likely will only see light-duty off-road. I will be getting Blizzaks or Hakka R3's for winter use so the Pirellis should last many years

Bought this truck to get away from aggressive AT's ride (TA ko's, and Wildpeaks) on my "real" trucks so nothing too chunky going on mine

i have a hard time buying new tires for a new vehicle that has brand new and i would say are more than adequate tires unless you have extra cash to burn... i am not rich, but i am not cheap either and factory equipment pirelli's should be able to handle normal driving. i've heard many good reviews for them on road wet & dry just not aggressive off road, but you can see more online at tirerack/discount tire to make your own decision

4,586 miles so far. They are ok have not driven in rain yet and it's only snowed a handful of times and never over 6 inches so no real test yet. They are fairly quiet I won't replace until they are done.

I replaced ours with BFG KO2's due to the heavy snow and winter slush we've been getting and the Pirelli's didn't handle those conditions very well. I used one of the ones taken off to give us a REAL FULL SIZE spare.

They handle pavement better than ko2’s or Toyo OC’s and do fine on gravel.

If you’re driving in snow just get some Blizzaks for winter. There 10X grippier than any snowflake rated AT.
