I have the Ford hard Tri-fold tonneau cover, the Elevate rails, and a bed rack from Harbor Freight. I drilled some holes in the bases of the rack, and bolt it to the rails with the included t-bolts. I cut the posts down a bit so it didn't stick up so high, which makes loading the kayaks a lot...
I've noticed that slippery mode will keep you in a higher gear and reduce throttle input. But it also will activate the AWD more often, especially on hills, so I'm not sure if it's actually all that helpful to increase mpg.
I've never used it for rain, but it seems to help a bit in the snow, at...
I looking for reviews specifically for this tire size. A lot of reviews on tire rack are for larger tires, which might have slightly different tread blocks than our smaller tires.
I've had snow tires on my truck for all but 700 dry miles so far, and before I get my tires changed over for the summer, I'm wondering how the stock Pirelli's are in the wet. I've read various reviews, some people say they're terrible in the rain, some say their great. Is that actually the case...
I have the same cover, and noticed that you just have to push it over the rivet heads. There's a slight snag, but it will go over them. I found it to be helpful, as it kind of holds the slider in place, and then you can push the rod into the groove.
With the stock Pirelli's, I was getting about 30 mpg. Since the temperature dropped and I put my snow tires on, (Blizzak DM-V2) I'm averaging about 28 mpg. Typical driving is 20 miles on 50 mph roads with slight hills, 30 miles on 65 mph interstate with slight hills, and 5 miles of 35 mph roads...
Installed the OEM hard trifold! Pretty easy install, though I decided to make it difficult by doing it at night when it was 45 degrees out. Picture is from this morning during a break in the rain.
I did the exact same thing. Their website said it would ship in 2 weeks, contacted them once, they confirmed this. Contacted them again after 2 weeks, and they said 40+ business days. So I cancelled my order and ordered the Ford one, which will hopefully be here this week.
I understand that it...
Put in floor mats (exciting, I know), snow tires, RokBlocks mudflaps, Rhino-liner in the bed, and eventually a trifold tonneau cover. Will be getting 235/65 27 Falken Wildpeaks in the spring to replace the stock tires.
I picked up some lightly used Blizzaks locally, tread looks practically new, so I can’t complain for $250!
We’ve had Hakkapeliittas on our other cars (subarus), and they’re fantastic. I went cheap this year since I’ve been buying a bunch of stuff for the maverick. Just placed an order for Rok...
Northern VT, picked mine up from Bokan Ford last Wednesday (the 21st)
XLT with FX4.
So far I’ve added the all weather mats and a spray in bedliner. Tonneau cover should be in next week, and snow tires went on this morning!
Picture is from last week, right when I got home with it.
I’ve found them to be good, but not quite as bright as I’d like. I feel like they don’t project far enough, but maybe I just need to adjust them a tad to compensate. Or maybe I’m just getting old, and I should get my eyes checked!
If you have the window sticker, you can track it through Ford's tacking website.
There's a thread on here with all of the tracking systems that we can use. Link
That being said, good luck. I was in a similar situation, ordered a truck, and then was able to reserve one that was in transit to...
I was researching the same thing.
I found the Elevate Rack System Link and the Truxedo Lo Pro Tonneau cover with special rail Link
It doesn't look like you can purchase them yet, but I'm sure they're working on it.
