What is strange that a first edition was built and shipped after my order from the same dealer. There is no logic on how Ford is scheduling Mav builds especially for all the June and July orders.

my dealer told me last fall that taking a few options off of my order would help it not to be delayed more.
My maverick hybrid was already going to be bare bones but I took off the bed liner and bed cover(will get myself)

I ordered mid august and I am still waiting.Got a February 28th build date a month ago but that has already been pushed back to March 22nd
At least you have a build date, especially for a hybrid. I don't think making changes after a build date will make much difference as yours is scheduled for a build. I haven't even got a scheduled date yet but ordered my Ecoboost XLT in Dec.

How is it that I can solve all of Fords' problems in 5 minutes, sitting on my couch in my underwear, but a multi billion dollar company can't seem to get it?

Attention FoMoCo! Here are some simple solutions to get out of your mess:

1. Don't let dealers order more vehicles than you plan on sending them. Cut them off. If you let them order 1300 vehicles, and you already know you are only sending them 100, you can't play dumb when 1200 angry people start asking questions.

2. Stop pretending this is all the dealers' fault. They are certainly to blame for a lot of this, but you are letting them. If a dealer consistently pulls these shenanigans, revoke their dealership. Weed out the bad apples.

3. Allotments? Just tell the dealer at the beginning of the year how many of each model you are sending them each month. Reevaluate next year, and reward good dealers with more, so-so dealers with less, and bad dealers with nothing.

4. First come first served. As long as you have the parts to build something, it should go to the next person in line. A Ford customer in DALLAS should be no more important than one in a small remote city in Iowa. Whoever ordered first wins.

5. Force dealers to be more transparent. We shouldn't have to guess whether we are order one in the dealer's queue or 200th. Even if they will get all 200 of that model this year, knowing where you are in line manages your expectations, and allows you to plan for delivery.

6. Ban MSRP markups. Don't give us this shit about they are independent businesses, and they can do whatever they want. You control supply. Cut that supply off if they gouge your customers. Dont just cut their allotment by a few cars, cut it off for good. Everyone else will fall in line and YOUR customers won't feel raped.

When you have mastered these simple concepts, let me know. I have other awesome ideas.

You're welcome.

One thing that confuses me: Based on what the memo recommends, is CP360 NOT a constraint when combined with XLT Luxury package? The wording on points #6 and #7 is very specific...

I have a November order Hybrid XLT + CP360. Just wondering if I should take 360 off to increase my chances of getting a 2022 Mav?
Yes.

Last fall, my buddy and I were considering the small truck options available. A week or so before I placed my Maverick order, he bought a Santa Cruz off the lot. No ADM; there were a couple of additional options he would have liked but no big deal according to him. Now he's been driving his new truck for three months.

On my side, it now looks like I'm likely to be told to start the whole process over, waiting in line all over again, hoping for the supply issues to get better, hoping my dealer gets enough allocations to get to my truck, and paying the higher MY23 prices for my trouble. On top of that, despite minimizing the amount of miles I've put on my current primary car since then, it'll still be at least another MY older and thus less valuable when I do go to sell it.

Guess I know which one of us picked the right model...

New to forum, but couldn't Ford produce more Mavericks if the Bronco Sport wasn't coming down the same assembly line. I think another oversite from Ford.

Good work! Asking questions like that is the first step back toward social reality.

The second step is getting off the couch and putting on some clothes, but don't rush yourself... :ROFLMAO:

I knew this truck was too good to be true. I ordered a XLT hybrid with LUX and 360 at a small local dealership. So I now have 0 hope of getting a MY22 I guess I'll leave the order until they officially contact me and cancel it but I do think I will find a larger dealer near by to order a MY23 when the banks open
Ordered from a very tiny dealer in Michigan UP, they got 2 in so far since production began and there are at least 5 orders outstanding now so I think I'm hosed for MY22 also due to small volume dealer.

But my understanding is that 60 percent of Maverick orders are hybrids. So, they are 20 percent short on fulfilling those hybrid orders, right?
I beleive 60 percent of Maverick orders reported on this forum in the order tracker are hybrids. I don't think Ford has ever officially released the actual order numbers or ratio for North America as a whole. So it depends on if you consider this forum to be an accurate representation of the larger picture.

EDIT: 58.2% on the order tracker as of today are hybrids.

WOW only 24 pages, I was expecting much more.

So Ford can't build all the Mavericks, and with the supply chain issue, it's no wonder. Some of the postings have been very entertaining, and some have taken this personally (not too sure why) some questions that have been asked were interesting. One person asked will an EV Maverick be built for 2023, there is no EV Escape, so I can answer this, NO EV Maverick for 2023, I'm betting for 2023, we shall some color changes, and package changes (item takes out of the packages) nothing added. Now, will the 2023 Maverick get a price increase? I say YES.

I'm hoping those who have ordered a Maverick in the following month, June, July, Aug, and Sept will get thiers, first and let the chips fall after that. I'm disappointed that dealers will get stock Mavericks before people who ordered them. This isn't very good customer service.

Well be interesting to see what Tim has to say.

Did all Ford dealers get this? Asking since my contact at Chapman said they did not receive the email, and they are still telling me that taking my bed extender off my order will likely push me to MY23. Everything I am reading, removing the bed extender constraint, Ford now taking order dates (August 14th) into priority, and larger volume dealers (Chapman), is telling me to get them to take off the bed extender and I should be top priority!? So confusing, do I trust the dealer and leave it on, or trust all the information out there? Could it be possible Chapman did not receive the email? If they didnt, maybe they have priority and I should not remove it? Haha

I am not actually on the couch or in my underwear, just like Ford isn't actually going to fix any of this.

But, I can understand why you thought my humorously sarcastic post was written literally. You see, every time you have tried to be funny on this forum you have failed miserably, so it is obvious you don't have a strong grasp on the concept.

Customer retention. I expect they will do same as in link above

many Mav buyers are first time Ford buyers and likely first time car buyers. Why piss off a young customer for life

Hey Philemon, where in Da U.P. are you located. I'm in St. Ignace, ordered a Hybrid XLT late June. My dealer got a Mav last Friday. Their first. My patience is still strong. But I think "it's going to be a long, long time. (Elton John/Rocket Man). Saw him with my Wife 2/8. Say Ya to Da U.P., Eh!
