I was hoping being mine is just an XLT AWD with no extra electrics save for an in cab power inverter that it would get shuffled to the front of the line.
You need to check and see how the allocation system works. If it works like it has in the past, then we think the granger orders would actually take longer to fill.

Because it is a round-robin system where each dealer has an allocation...

if you are in the front of the granger line, you will be in good shape. If you are towards the back or middle, you may have been better off with another dealer(if you have immediate need and needed to secure a truck this year).

Otherwise we should be thankful that granger offered this to everyone here.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I did not order from granger.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought allocation to dealers was based on historical sales volume and Granger was the top-selling Ford dealer in Iowa? If that is the case then Granger would get more allocations than other dealers, correct?

So what your saying in there is that the dealer selects what to build that week. Yet the dealer is saying that ford picks what they want to build.
The dealer picks which orders form their batch they want to go first by assigning a priority code.

If they do not assign a priority code. It will be FIFO model. After that, ford will fill dealer orders based on their allocation amount.

Let's say they get 11 a month(that's about what I recall they got on broncos). Then 11 from the pool of their 350? or so would be fill a month.

350/11 = 31 months to fill their backlog

Let say their allocation has increased from selling more trucks to 20...

ok so...

350/20 = 17.5 months for the people at the back of the line.

It's all going to depend on where you are in their list.

DISCLOSURE: this is how ford did it in the past, I can't confirm it still works this way. You will need to ask and confirm.

When did you order? My order with Granger was confirmed by Ford 12/28. Is this my order number... 'Preview Order A146'... ? I ordered XLT white AWD nothing extra.

I’m #33 at my dealer, he’s been getting about 1 a month and has delivered 4 so far out of the 32 ahead of me. Looks like I’ll be getting a third model year if I don’t bail by then.

1 a month seems really low

Small rural dealer. Maybe that will accelerate, maybe not. I also haven’t been bothering them at all so maybe it has increased since November

I think your best lottery in place is to have a build that has parts more so than where you are on the list.

Granger order confirmed 12/28/21
That's when you got the email. That is not, necessarily when they put the ROVP in.

I'm not sure which one counts for your priority.

There's a possibility they say on the ROVPs until the deadline (FEB 2) because of holidays and illnesses. They already had 50-100 outstanding orders before this promotion
