I contacted my dealer again for help on my August order and they say there is nothing they can do to expedite it. I ordered in August and don't even have a build date. Is that true they can't help? They wanted to help me when I came in to buy a new one! They wanted to help me in getting my 2012 Ford Lariat Crew Cab with only 53K. What good is a dealer if they can't help the customer!
Did you get an email from ford directly if not they screwed up your order.

Nope. Not true - they are lying to you.

They can drive to Hermasillo and build it themselves, trailer it, and drop it off at your house.

I have it on good authority from Farley that this has been authorized for ALL August orders. My dealer said so....

EDIT: and believe me - I feel your pain at least twice as bad. My bronco has been on order since last July. MY21 turned to MY22. Was supposed to be delivered 2/4 - sold my vehicle - Bronco is stuck in a dirt field in michigan with 2 feet of snow until at least May.

Ordered the MavBrid 10/13/21 and I assume it'll be a MY23 based on the options.

I went out and got a CRV Hybrid this past weekend. I'll decide between it and the Mav sometime in 2023.
I did something similar.
My Mav is "supposed" to be built Feb 21 (ordered in July). Considering the shortages and new delays, I went out Saturday and test drove a Santa Cruz.
I couldn't justify the 40K price tag and 22MPG for something comparable to the Mav XLT Lux. I opted for a Tuscon Hybrid.

I'm going to keep my Mav on order and likely sell our other car when it comes in. I really want an open bed of a pickup, but we also have other needs in the meantime which the car can't help with.

That said, if someone offered me a stupid amount for my Maverick, I'd sell in a heartbeat. I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid.

June order holder enters the chat... without a scheduled build date. No cut-zees.

I was SO close to nabbing a Tucson Hybrid but it was sold the night before I could get it. I would have greatly preferred it over the CRV (and even with a modest dealer ADM it was still cheaper than the CRV!).

My wife has a 2018 Odyssey so when this all happened and I found the CRVbrid I knew what I was going to get with it. It's a well put together really smooth riding vehicle with quality materials however it wildly overstates the fuel economy (I'm looking at 30mpg nowhere near 40/35) and came at a premium of nearly $15k over the my Maverick build (now they aren't apples to apples builds or even close).

It's a fine vehicle to have around until the Maverick arrives but the value prop the Maverick offers and the MPGs that people are seeing with the Hybrids? There is no way I will pass it up. Might keep the CRV too!

Think about how much worse markups would be if dealers could accellerate the process for certain priveleged customers lol no they cant do anything. The purpose of the dealer is to fulfill your order. You cant get a truck from ford without a dealer 🤷‍♂️

I have not received an email from Ford but called them directly last year and they confirmed my order had been placed.

This was a fun read. Here’s all you need for your maverick vs crv decision. Crv is super ugly. Maverick is not. There. Send my check in the mail. No further correspondence neccessary

I've written this same post in a variety of threads. I include it every time I think it is remotely applicable to the thread. I ordered and received confirmation for a fairly well loaded Lariat in the middle of June. Ford tells me everything was submitted properly and is simply in the "queue" but can't tell me why I have no build date. Dealer can't either. In fact dealer, said it will probably never get built, at least not a 2022 model.

I decided that I'm just too old for these waiting games (I'll be 74 this year) so I went out an bought a beautiful new Ridgeline. I have owned a Ridgeline before and it was the best vehicle I ever had and this includes a couple high dollar Mercedes. Sure, it was $15,000 more than the Maverick (which I bought under MRSP because the dealer, along with everyone else, had no idea back then how popular the Maverick would become).

Truth be told, I need a truck like a hole in the head. I have no trailer and the only thing that goes in the back end is mulch and potting soil. But I've always liked trucks and wanted one. At this point of my life I get what I want as money is no longer a concern, but time is. So, I am driving this super neat Ridgeline which, at least for me, is all the truck I need.

I saw a couple Mavericks on lots recently and frankly, I thought they were too small. I really did not like the looks of them not because of design but because of size. I did not think when I ordered it they would look that small although I knew they were a compact truck. If I had seen a Maverick, I probably would not have ordered one at all.

If a miracle happens and my Maverick is built, I will assess the market at the time. If I can get a few thousand dollars more than I paid for it then I will buy it and flip it. If not, since I gave no deposit, I'll tell them to shove it and sell it to someone else - which I suspect would make them very, very happy and may have been their game plan all along once they found out how much the thing was really worth.

There are people who ordered in June and July, who not only don’t have their trucks, they don’t even have build dates yet. And some of them didn’t get the fancy schmancy packages.
I ordered mine in June and I have nothing!!!!!! no build date. I ordered straight hybrid XL only up was drop in bed liner. I had to sell my former car because of cat converter thefts. I'm now driving a broken down Toyota Celica. Sucks big time

Honesty, having a build date isn't all that much better when it can get moved. I got scheduled the same week I found out the touch-link bed lights are 2 not 4 lights so couldn't take that off my order, been bumped twice now, a week each time. With rumors of them parking trucks waiting for chips, even if my truck gets built next week who knows when I'll get it.

On the bright side, you got your order in, so you did your part.

The way I describe the CRVs looks are "frumpy". Like it is mid to late 30s and doesn't care about appearances anymore. Married. Kids. Nobody to impress. Sometimes borders on embarrassing in public....

That's the CRV.

Want the Mav. Plan on keeping the Mav - but I can't tell how god awful ugly the CRV is behind the wheel in the well appointed cabin.

The Maverick IS small - but it doesn't LOOK small. That's what I think gets a lot of people. Do a B&P and the final truck they generate for you looks like veritable F150.

There's a picture with a Mav parked between a Suburban and a GMC Sierra HD and it looks like you can pick the Mav up and put it in the bed of the Sierra.

That's kind of the appeal to me. The Ridgeline is a very solid ride but it's too big for me. Compact truck is a compact truck for a reason.
