After Tim Bartzs' video on Tuesday I didn't expect to hear anything on my July 12 First Edition order so I'm not really disappointed. Yesterday my salesman called me a said they had one just off the truck and as I have the oldest order they would give me the first crack at it. I old him I WANTED it but in the 15 minutes it took me to drive to the dealer another salesperson sold it. I WAS pissed at that. The sales manger apologized and said that should not have happened. Didn't make me feel any better.

Ford isn't penalizing the customer, they just aren't rewarding the dealers who haven't performed well in the past. No participation trophies for them.
A dealership in Minot, North Dakota could outperform , based on population, a dealership in a Boston , Mass. suburb but still get few deliveries under the current system . Is that correct or is it adjusted to local population numbers. I don’t know where my dealership falls, I am guessing the lower end of middle.

EB FWD XL carbonized gray drop in bed liner full size spare

Oh boy , that is at least in the ballpark of my order . Same order date, October 30, with only a drop in bed liner. Mine is a hybrid, though.

Jason, I ordered a hybrid XL with only a drop-in bed liner on October 30. At the earliest, I don’t expect mine until mid-May, but won’t be shocked if it is August. There are tens of thousands of people in line ahead of us. If I ordered in June/July/August and saw November/December/January folks ahead of me, I would be having a cow .
Agreed that’s my point there are people ordering last week getting builds, good for them, but that is what is annoying if it were the people in front of us I would understand I really don’t expect mine until May I’m giving it until the end of March and then I’ll go buy something on lot, would like to give my car now to my son as a graduation present.

Except for an outlier (or two) of Hybrids, today was an EcoBoost day, played out to a soundtrack of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" playing on a repeat loop in the background...until She Who Must Be Obeyed found the on/off switch. Oh well.

[please hold while I rummage for the rose colored glasses...]

Perhaps in the near future, there will be a series of Thursdays where the outliers are EcoBoost and the bulk of the scheduled Mavericks are Hybrids. Oh, look! A chevron of pigs just flew by the window!

I am already getting pretty disappointed in the wait for my Maverick and i only ordered 1/10/22. between my wife and I we have purchased 6 or 7 vehicles over the last 8 years. some new and some used. Im so used to finding what i like online, calling to tell them i want it and im on the way, done. We bought my wife a 2021 yukon last year and we had to wait maybe 2 weeks for it to be delivered. That was torture for her lol. Either way this wait is killing me. 3.5 weeks hoping for a build date and im already losing hope. looking like 6-8 months wait time and all i ordered was an XL, EB, AWD to try and get it here asap. I couldnt Imagine some of the wait times some of you have been facing. i feel for you guys. Its crazy Ford could take orders without having them built in a timely manner. Congrats to everyone who has been waiting a while. anyone who has ordered after 1/10/22 and already getting a build date you're a lucky bastard lol

If Ford's goal is to maximize shareholder value doesn't it make sense that more Ecoboost are being scheduled? They require less chips, and if there's a chip shortage every hybrid = lost revenue.

Maybe they're pushing EBs for a few months then they'll flip back.

First time poster here so sorry if I mess it up. Lol. Recieved built date today.
Email received about 11 am Eastern time

Velocity blue XLT lux AWD Ecoboost all weather floor mats.
Built week March 28th.
Original order and confirmation Jan 20, 2022

Not sure how Ford schedules these things because I'm in Central WV. With a small dealer. Elkins Fordland.

Didn't expect anything for months from what I've been reading here. Was actually thinking I messed up going with this small dealer but they ordered on x plan and no deposit so I figured we could wait and not desperate for a new ride.

Sorry to rub it in guys. I would be p'd off if I was waiting months and someone like me got scheduled after a week.

Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back. This will be my son's first new car. He is very excited.

what he’s saying is. He’s pissed you got yours first, but wants to be a good sport.
i am…. But not at anyone that’s getting their order. I am very angry at the situation that makes no sense at all. That’s it.
