Personally, i dont think any of these mods can happen unless you are willing to do away with the warranty from Ford and the possibility that your insurance company can claim it had something to do with an accident. All good stuff and the OP should be proud of the accomplishment and press on Ford News but again i am an old scaredity cat.
You are seriously overestimating the ability of your average ford technician to even recognize that the parts have been upgraded.

That having been said, you would not do any of this unless you are perfectly capable of putting it back to stock before it goes in for any warranty work.

I don't plan on using my warranty unless the transmission or engine have major issues, and if they give me grief for plugging in OEM Ford parts, I guess I'll just fix whatever is broken with more Escape parts!
Great source for parts - i have a 2021 Escape Titanium Hybrid with ALL the bells and whistles and i love it.

Actually, after looking at the wiring, if you add a pin 9 and splice it to pin 10 (Circuit VMC11), the cluster should see the one sender as both of its inputs, and you should be OK.

Again, anything done from here on out is on your own, but the Part # for the Ford terminal to go in the empty pin 9 slot is DU2Z-14474-AA

Would you have a wiring diagram that shows where I can find a source of rap for an add on amplifier?

I think you're forgetting that Jalopnik just shared this and Ford Official is in the thread. BUT I find it hard to believe that they would cut my warranty because of this. They might, but I can only see this being a good thing for them considering they'll probably sell a shit ton of Escape clusters off of their website to Maverick and Bronco Sport Owners.

You also made it onto Ford Authority. https://fordauthority.com/2022/02/2...-use-ford-escapes-digital-instrument-cluster/

You shouldn't have any issues unless you were to bring in a cluster issue for warranty. Which you wouldn't. You would handle that one yourself. :)

I suppose if you rolled in with a lower mileage than the last time in, that might trigger a warranty issue. But you're smarter than that.

Yeah, this cluster has more miles than the truck, so I'm not worried, plus the truck shouldn't ever see the dealer unless its goes on a tow truck. I know way too many people who are techs at dealers that shouldn't be anywhere near a wrench, to trust my vehicle in someone elses hands. I already did my first oil change with Amsoil, and once the trans is ready for a flush, I'll use Amsoil, and I'm hoping It will never have to go to a dealership.

Damn you XL buyers are cheap af but I gotta give you guys some credit. A lot of you XL owners are willing to tear right into your new Mav and do both physical modifications like this and software modifications through programs like Forscan.
We prefer to call it Frugal AF! LOL!

Yes I did.
I will be amazed if Ford Official actually contributes to changing an odometer... but boy would it be nice to have some of their engineers contributing. Does Ford even officially acknowledged that forscan exists?

I agree, the popular press coverage of what you have accomplished is lacking in depth and credit due, but some good perhaps will come out of it.

I'm still amazed that your cruise control modifications haven't made the press.

I don't think that's going to happen, there's no way the wiring is there for it. If my truck had the heated steering wheel wiring, I would say possibly, but it seems like they were sticklers on the wiring for these trucks.
Ford does sell wiring harness pieces but yes, in the dash would be one of the hardest place to add the wires/connectors after the vehicle is already built.

I can only imagine, that at 1000 a piece for the escape clusters, they woould want to sell them to Maverick\Bronco sport owners who will buy new oem ones, but I could be wrong. It would be nice to have an engineer who knows the Asbuilt data, help me decipher the modules and what exact digits I need to change to get it working proper, but I guess we will wait and see what happens. It was a pretty generic reply to my thread, so I doubt anything will come out of it
