JB4 with Snow Water Methanol Injection

Just received these. The JB4 has a FSB which controls the water methanol injection. The tables are loaded in the JB4 so It's progressive, limits boost if it's not injecting, completely controlled by the JB4 app. I'll probably install Just the JB4 first and then add the Snow kit after. I'll take pictures and review after install.

Are you installing a standalone wmi tank or feeding from the washer fluid reservoir? I don't have a Mav yet, but I think the bed cubby would be a convenient/safe spot for a tank if it fit well. Otherwise, it'd be cool to see if a lower profile tank could nest in the under seat storage. Looking forward to your review.

Please try to do some before after acceleration tests for the JB4.

The JB4 intercepts the MAP sensor and the IAT sensor and then monitors the CANbus OBDII port to make changes to those intercepted signals to produce additional boost and timing. The FSB wires into the JB4 that has the injection maps for water/methanol mix. It's basically a progressive relay that integrates the solenoid opening and the pump flow to the nozzle.

My preference is the stand alone tank. If it has a good cap and is air/fluid tight in the cab behind the seat with the pump there too. If there is room somewhere in the engine compartment, then maybe, but there is already a reservoir. Mine is an XL so I don't have bed cubbys yet (on order). I'm going to do some of it today when I finish work so I'll know more tonight.

So, it’s using a water and methanol to boost the horse power. Methanol I understand. I didn’t know you could mix it with water. Cool. Pun intended.

I run 70% distilled water and 30% methanol on my twin turbo Mustang. I use mine mainly to cool the cylinders to help control knock, but a nice side effect is this will keep the intake valves clean as brand new on a Maverick.

After looking everywhere for a place to do a clean install, I settled on the factory washer tank and the front of the passenger wheel well.

Turned out really nice, but I doubt it will be a "remove in 15 minutes" situation if I ever need to.

I decided to put the nozzle in the charge pipe about 3" before the throttle body. Everything is very tight in this engine bay.

I didn't really have a chance to drive it yet. I'll review it when I do.
