I still want to see real Dyno runs for products like this before I trust them. Several tuners have been dynoing in 1st gear instead of 4th and it gives inaccurate torque numbers
I thought the same thing before spending that kind of money but after looking into how something like this evolves with the community that supposes it I’ve decided I want to be a part of how it develops. Which features, benefits etc.
I was reading last night that they released an update for Alfa’s that have them running smoother at start and solving a misfire they are known to have on cold days that even Alfa themselves haven’t released a fix for.

Almost every tuner I have seen recently is locking the gearing in 4th. Initially yes, some dynoed through the first 4 gears, but that was because there was no way to lock into a gear like traditional automatics.

I installed mine on Friday. Still playing with it. I have a cold air intake and this tuner and all is great. Pedal to the floor and it takes off a bunch faster, shifts seems smoother and doesn’t eat gas unless the heavy foot is in effect. VERY happy with this tuner and no regrets. Love it.

Yes, still BETA. Any problems are quickly handled via email 7 days a week including holidays.

Do these performance numbers reference mid range gains lost thru the rev range and what is actually peak HP /TQ @ like 5500 RPMS ? Maybe I missed the dyno sheet...

6 weeks later. Still like it? No issues? I may order one.

Still loving it. Absolutely no regrets. I can definitely tell a difference if it is not connected. Customer service is Excellent.

Does JB4 ever release tweaked maps for these? Or is what is on it what it will always be, short of a custom map?

I have the MagnaFlow exhaust on my Mav. Is that enough to through the included tunes off?

Just curious, I'm not exactly well versed in how these things work. Thanks

I was doing some research on tuning and came across this old thread. I'm adding to it rather than create a new one since I'm interested in the JB4. Burger has posted dyno runs on their JB4 tuner:

Quoting from their site, it seems that updates to firmware and new maps are supported.

Both options allow you to record and analyze vehicle and tuning data, change JB4 performance maps, and update JB4 firmware as we release free newer versions with updates, more powerful maps, and new features under development.

very interested in the JB4, but cant swallow the extra $149 for the bluetooth, then an additional $27 to purchase the app. If I go this route I will probably just get the data cable.

One of the questions that I asked BMS was what application is used under Windows to analyze the data when a data cable is used with a Windows laptop. This is the response:
