In essence, you're "re-submitting" your order and it will be past the date for the old pricing.

I changed my order on my Bronco numerous times and my order date changed with each change that I made.
are you sure? Multiple dealers have told me that making a change does NOT affect your order date. Anyway, we’ve already seen that Ford isn’t going by any sort of queue.

Update to original post - I raised heck with the Ford saleman and got nowhere, I contacted Ford and got an actual person right away (shocking, I know). Very helpful. She told me that there is a Ford rep onsite or in the area of my dealer and should be able to help. Sure enough, I contacted the general manager, who was also very helpful, who contacted the Ford rep. I have price protection since the order was placed prior to price increase. So, I should be getting the hitch for $100 with no other price increases. Bottom line, I would not recommend changing your order. It was a hassle to rectify. Also, if you are planning to flip your Maverick don't tell the dealer. I do not plan to flip mine as I really need this truck and have watched just about every review on youtube. I'm psyched to get this truck but I have no VIN or build date and ordered in mid October.

Warning: I ordered a Maverick XLT on 10/15/2021. On 1/4/2022 I decided I wanted the trailer hitch. I called my dealer to add the $100 option. Low and behold, that incurred a price increase of $80 to the Maverick plus $200 increase for the moonroof and $110 increase for the co-pilot 360. So a $100 hitch ended up costing me $390! They could not revert back to my original order. I am reaching out to Ford. I'm sure that will help, not. Has this happened to anyone else?
I posted the possibility of this in a thread when the increase was announced due to the wording in the announcement.

Last week Ford "reccomended and approved (I think)" dealer to add anti flipping language for one year after purchase. I believe some dealers were caught ordering Mavericks in name of "stooge" buyers with an agreement with said buyers to sell truck back to dealer for MSRP+xx$ to get around allocation restrictions. They have done and are doing this on other vehicles and are suing for "damages" as well as any price increase. So flippers may find this clause in final paper work and may have to hold it for one year.

moral of the story: KNOW exactly what you want BEFORE you order! Stop making changes AFTER you order and this becomes a non-issue.
You are correct... the problem is I know what I want, but Ford can't deliver what they advertised. I ordered my XLT Hybrid, Lux, CP360 on 7/7/2021 and because of the spray-in bedliner shortages that were in the Lux package, I cannot get into production. Yet I see others that do not have a Lux package or even the drop-in bedliner getting their Mavericks delivered with Sept and Oct order dates.

Therefore I must change to drop the LUX package to try and get in the production cycle to even get a chance at a March delivery. That would be 8 months of waiting if a change can be made.

I may try calling the Ford rep as well. I actually called my dealer the day before the mark-up happened on 12/26 asking to add the Lux package to my Lariat as I wanted to get in before the change. He told me that he wasn't aware of any change and because it was Sunday he couldn't do anything until the next day. He emails on 12/27 with a new order sheet and of course the Lux package was increased as well as all the other options. My truck ended up increasing about $1,000. I told him about it and he said it comes from Ford and there was nothing he could do. He wanted me to sign a new Order sheet, but I did not because I don't want them to think I accept the new rate. I want to add the package, but I am not paying for the increase in everything else. Hopefully my old signed Order sheet is price protected.

If you watch the emails received yesterday, there were a awful lot of Lux packages scheduled…. I was talking to Ford Marketing yesterday and they said the Spray In Liner was the hold up…. Maybe some, but clearly they are doing them because yesterdays emails show them being scheduled. I don’t know what’s going on, but clearly Ford is clueless.
