They did clarify it was 100 deposit not 1000 which I think is more than fair. Just not sure if the uncertain timing will work for me to save a bit. Still pondering and hoping people chime in on the process . Not too crazy about giving my drivers license and insurance to them before hand as well. Maybe if they allow me to redact some numbers.

DL is required by Ford in order for your order to be placed - no DL, no order.

They all need your license for that...no harm no foul.

Updates on Dec 29th:
1, Waiting time gets worse now 11-14 months -> Given the reopen hybrid date is around Aug, personally would give up the oppotunity. Things can change a lot during such a long time. I'm guessing Granger has got too many orders already.
Still, wish all you the best -- gather&share information, make the best decisions!

Orig post
Some info on my dp.
1, for people confused on the pdf, use the button here rather than system "print/export as pdf" to generate, otherwise the whole web page will be converted as a pdf.
Ford Maverick $3,000 OFF - DEAL CLOSED - Fight OFF the Price Increase with Granger Ford 1640709521114

2, the deposit is 100, it's non-refundable
3, waiting time range is 6~9 months (which in my case, is the same as my local dealer, thus no difference)
4, for people who have traded their old car and gave his/her title to dealer - now you may need to get your traded car back - but no worries, it's not a big deal, just call your state dmv, tell them what's happening. (For NYS, turns out just need to apply for a registration "with driver license, the title the dealer will give you back) - Ask dmv, don't be terrified by the paperwork process (local guy may firghten you how difficult it will be). Even if you decide to sold your old instantly, NYS allow partial refund for the unused registraion. The overall msg is "don't be fooled, just ask dmv and do it"
5, Granger may get your build wrong if you send your build with a build link, (for some reason, the link, if reopened, will change options you added), it's my case, which delays the quoting&ordering process.
6, The whole diff (compared with ford.com) is from: a, price increase (for example, $80 for XLT); b, the promotion (3000 off MSRP) c, removal of ford.com BS fee
7, transporter, should be $1/mile but if you don't have accurate date to pick/deliver, the quoted price will go wild. uship.com presents me divergent results, ranging from 1000 to 2000 (Mine: 930 miles; Pick-up: June; Delivery: Flexible)
Ford Maverick $3,000 OFF - DEAL CLOSED - Fight OFF the Price Increase with Granger Ford 1640711373674

In short, if you're patient and are somewhat okay with driving back home, I think granger worth your evaluation.

Thank you Granger Motors. I left my $100 deposit, and signed my paperwork just now to start the waiting process on my XLT AWD Mav. Paperwork process was very easy, and my concerns were addressed and explained thoroughly and professionally. Granger Fords staff worked well to get me to this point. Anybody on the fence tire kicking, the clock is ticking. GitErDun. I definitely recommend Zach and his staff at Granger Ford.

As someone who has already finished my purchase with Granger, I'll echo your experience from start to finish - they were great to work with!

I just completed my order in person with Granger Motors today (I'm fortunate that I live only a half hour from Granger). As you might imagine, they are absolutely slammed with emails and phone calls. The bad news is that the wait time for delivery is now projected to be 9-11 months. They told me that if Ford is not able to build my order before they switch to 2023 models, I can change my order to a 2023 model.

I’ve seen this posted multiple times, and it is sometimes but not always true. I have an order at Chapman and have asked a couple times if they needed my drivers license ,and have been told no. I have a VIN, so it seems like they are correct.

A bit more on this. I believe the reason why Chapman Didn’t need my DL is because I was already in Fords system and registered with Ford on the owners website (and now Ford Pass) being a current F150 owner. I now have all three added to FordPass, my 2015 F150, my recently acquired 2021 Bronco Sport, and my ordered 2022 Maverick.

ETA: if I already didn’t have “TooManyVehicles” (including a 1994 Chevy Camaro Z28 w/6 speed stick and T-tops), I’d be tempted to jump in this offer and go pretty low end on a XL w the 3K off.

Quick question - if the shipment is delayed to 9-11 month, indicating hybrid version will be open to reserve. Can we switch to hybrid? Yeah, looks like to waiting is getting worse and worse...

Espeer we are all in different positions in life. Not everybody is in a great financial position for whatever reason. In my case 1 special needs child, and 1 child with mental health issues. I hope your truly blessed to be able to have the financial ability do whatever you want.
That wasn't what I was laughing at. It was the absurd, completely out of left field nature of the comment.

I asked the question, and Granger ford assured me if it was going to end up as a 2023 that they would still honor the $3000 off MSRP if you wanted to still continue and order a 2023 model.

9 to 11 months even better yet. Buys me more time to save for a better down payment.
