Hi Maverick lovers,
I just ordered my Maverick this week and went to local dealer. On website was attached announcement for Ford Truck month offering $1,000 offMSRP, listing those models included and excluded. Guess what is not mentioned.. the Maverick. When I ordered my Maverick I asked about getting the discount and they daid we are tryning to call Ford, why is the Maverick excluded from promotions??
Also Palmetto Ford in Charleston has had a TV ad that offers $1500 off MSRP for trucks for Truck Month. The ad states "whether it is the the all new bronco, ranger, super duty or the number one selling F-150, or you can order the truck of your dreams and get $1500 off" I contcated my sales person and asked them to honor the discount and he said " but the maverick is not listed on Ford's list as a dream truck. i will appeal to the dealer when the truck arrives and i have to pay for it. Any advice??
John

Uhhh, because they are new and selling without the need for incentives.

That's why I bought it. My wife and I want to restore an El Camino someday unless I can find a decent 66 Ranchero.
I restored a 1960 El Camino years ago, had the bullet taillights, and bat wing fins. Before that I had a 73 Ranchero GT. It was a long time ago, dont mind the mullet.

I got my $750 college grad discount. No fuss or issues. It was automatically applied without me even asking once I had completed the IDMe verification.

is running a $3000 off MSRP promotion till january 31st 2022 on maverick ecoboost models only. It's a 6 to 9 month wait. I ordered my AWD XLT with trailer tow group, and it's going to cost me $25K not $28K. You have to drive to get it, or fly out and drive home, but 3K is a heck of a deal. I am 12 hours away drive time. Just finished paperwork over my smartphone and left a #100 deposit today. Their sales staff are courteous, and quick. This is the real deal.

Very simple. There is more demand than supply. A few short years ago there were $8k rebates on f150 and $6k rebates on rangers now you are lucky to get $1000! Look on CarGurus there are used Mavericks listed way over original msrp and are “good deal” and I’m sure they will sell the same way used tacomas are selling for more than new ones. If you can’t pay msrp which is 250-400 over dealer invoice then maybe its not the time to buy a vehicle. Just remember the escape S with the 1.5 3 cyl and no touch screen or Apple CarPlay starts at $26k the maverick is a bargain even with a $2000 ADM

That's because they are sold out and don't feel the need

Hey my man, it's economics! Would you being in business selling cheeseburgers as fast as you can make them with people standing in line to get one, sell them for less? The rule of supply and demand dictates everything price in a free capitalistic marketplace. The dealer is in business to make a profit. Ford at the present time does not need to drop the price of the Maverick because it is in high demand and the supply is short. No mystery here. The dealer could drop the price but they don't have to do anything unless sales drop, then they offer incentives, like price drops or lease options.

FYI, you're quoting a post that was made four years ago..

Supply and demand, it's a law, not a suggestion.

Don't be an early-adopter to a brand-new vehicle with thousands of preorders that is being sold and delivered during a global shortage of everything from microchips to truck drivers?

I'm sure if you wait a year or even a few months, the Maverick will be included in the discount. But right now they have thousands of preorders and the Maverick basically sold itself with little advertising. Heck, remember all the threads early on about more information on the Maverick prior to its official unveiling? Ford probably doesn't have a reason to offer a discount on a product with high demand, (probably) low margins, and low supply.

I'm not trying to be a jerk; I find it a bit hard to be sympathetic to your cause. Yeah the Bronco just came out too, but the Bronco probably has high enough margins to pad the MSRP for a discount.
I'm one of the lucky ones, got my 25 XLT hybrid with employee pricing which I was surprised they offered that availability to the Mavericks back in April especially the hybrids, timing was right and the perfect truck was there. $2300. off msrp.

My local dealer has 14 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremors on their lot. Discounted at $3k below MSRP.
The 2025 Tremors are discounted $1k below MSRP.
