Yep, I'm willing to take a chance on $100 deposit. or even no deposit and $2k off MSRP. I ordered my xlt hybrid with lux on 7/23 and still not even scheduled yet locally. :( I'm now just considering finding or ordering an ecoboost or leasing a 2022 Frontier.

They are a small dealer in Iowa. If they had a bunch of cancelations, they might be stuck with more trucks than they could expect to sell. They'd have to offload them to other dealerships or something at a substantial cost, which the $1k can help with.

Larger dealerships or those near larger markets probably don't have this concern to anywhere near the magnitude.

It is justifiable to me. If the economy shit the bed next spring, a bunch of cancelations could bankrupt them.

I hope that's not the case. I don't mind a $100 non refundable deposit. This way if "life happens" as it usually does in my world with kids and family, I can decline and i'm only out $100 on a vehicle they can probably sell off the lot the same day, but $1000 non refundable makes that more of a lock in.

Does the $3000 off Grainger Iowa deal apply to Maverick Lariat?

Nope, it's $1000 so the original post is a typo. They replied to my email. So, no business from me. It's a good deal but a lot of this whole thing is just.. off. Why do they have less orders, thus less allocations than other dealers? I can think of 1,000 reasons.
Wow! Big difference in $100 and $1000!

As long as you are wanting the ecoboost, yes

This is where I'm getting confused. If it comes with front carpeted floor mats standard, I would just buy the weather tech drop in liners. Heres a screen shot. Liners for $135, and liners with carpet mats for $175. All this tells me is you dont get carpeted mats standard. Can somebody verify this? I would remove this from my order if it comes with carpeted mats standard. Then just get the weather tech ones. I looked in standard features on the XLT. It says nothing about the carpeted front mats being standard.

Uhh, no. Where Granger is located (Des Moines area) has over 4x the population of Salina, KS where Long McArthur is located. According to Tim, they regularly get calls from brokers wanting to buy their inventory for over MSRP.

You can think of it as justifiable if you want, that's your opinion. But they'd be much more successful with orders and allocations if they weren't shooting themselves in the foot with stupid policies like $1000 non-refundable deposits.

$175 you get both the carpet front and the set of all weather mats (front and back) $135 you get all weather mats only (no carpeted mats)

The Details:

$3,000 OFF MSRP on any new Retail Maverick order placed from December 27th through January 31st.
$100 Non-Refundable Deposit Required
Only 2.0L Orders are being taken currently by Ford
As always $180 Doc Fee, $45 In-transit fee.
No drop-shipping, no other hidden fees.

Why? This is going to be a dual benefit. First, it will help our allocation for our early reservation holders. Second, it will be a great offering for anyone looking to purchase a Maverick and is willing to wait.

This deal will absolutely end February 1st and will not be extended. We are doing this to help boost our allocation now and in the future.

What if I have an existing order? - We will be honoring the 3% under invoice for orders taken before December 27th. If you'd like to take advantage of the lower pricing you can cancel your existing reservation and transfer your deposit to a new order. You will however have your order timing reset and go back to the end of the line of potential allocation.

How do I place an order? - email [email protected] with the URL or a PDF from Ford's built and price tool.

Hopefully this softens the blow of the price increase to anyone on the fence for a new Maverick order.

Zach

If anything doesnt work out, I can show the original post to my local dealer as leverage and see if they will play ball at $3K below MSRP. Looks like I got a tick over 31 days to do it.

I got a reply this morning. I'm sure they were inundated with emails over the weekend with this deal. I won't be doing business with them, but I did reply letting them know that the post here should reflect the true deposit required.

Good luck with that. Granger's wait time (included in their email) was estimated at 6-9 months, even for the ecoboost. So it would seem your dealership has its own leverage.

Yeah I sent them an email 45 minutes after their post. Obviously, working them in reverse order. Even did two phone calls.

For anyone considering this offer, keep in mind how allocations play into the formula of when you will get scheduled. One of the reasons Granger mentioned for the offer was "This is going to be a dual benefit. First, it will help our allocation for our early reservation holders."

I have no doubts about Granger being a great dealer, but no one there is able to provide me with any clue as to when I might get my Maverick. This is not their fault, but the way FMC has decided to do things.
