Ford can't do a thing just look at the mark ups on the trucks that came in for customer orders. As some people have already noted that dealers are charging market mark ups when they come to pick up their trucks.

This is a great diversionary tactic by Ford, designed to keep buyers from canceling their orders by making them think they currently have a super deal, so just hold on a little longer, and they now will be even more inclined to cheerfully accept a "slight" ADM over their initially promised original great "deal", for these vehicles, that the majority of people, also with a deposit down, have waited a minimum of 4 months just for news of when they can actually expect a message of them being built, much less delivered. ----- PR and marketing folks, you've got to love the audacity of it! ----

Pick a good dealer and it’s not a problem. I did and it wasn’t. No BS, truck came in, I took delivery, no surprises. Less than an hour and I walked out very happy.
Communicate, lock in the price (in writing), it’s not difficult. It’s my money and I earned every penny so I look out for my best interest, I wasn’t there to make friends. Pick a shitty dealer and the games start. Pick a good dealer, cover your ass and it’s all good.
I bought from Chapman, a 3 hour round trip and worth every second of the drive. Saving over 3k from the local yocals and I gave them the chance to match or get close. They wouldn’t so I went for the best deal from a reputable dealer. I won.

I ordered mine, never seeing or driving a Maverick. I made a great choice and I smile every day. I have had my Maverick for a month and I still look at it in awe. I did good and I feel like I got a great deal on a super vehicle.

It would be nice to know if this will effect my 7/19 ordered, 1/31 build week Lariat Luxury Maverick.

Damn I ordered mine around the same time and still nothing.

I’m posting for some clarity and the need for all of you to be diligent when your currently unscheduled order gets built. All manufacturers raise prices this time of year and in this case Ford will invoice and charge dealers at the new prices when released from the plant for ALL units going forward. When the dealer delivers your vehicle and reports the sale to Ford the dealer will be reimbursed for the price increase if the ordering customer name matches the sold to customer name. Be sure the dealer honors your original agreed upon price because they will be reimbursed by Ford. This procedure is archaic but it’s all about cash flow for Ford and making sure the dealer sells the vehicle to the same person that ordered it.
