If true, it will apply to new orders placed after today. Retail orders placed before today will have price protection.

By the way, what is your source of this information?

Believe they're referring to ford's website:

Ford Maverick 2024 Maverick XL - Price Increase 12/16/2023 1702709821250

It only show up on a few pages but when you go into build & price it still shows with the original msrp of $23400

Also if true, it would explain Ford's continuation of XL orders after supposedly stopping them. Perhaps they decided to meet that demand if people would pay the price. Even with such an increase, the XL is still the best value in a Maverick.

@fordvideoguy do you know anything about this price increase? Were the dealers told in advance? Thanks!

Looks like you smartened up your order! I was also set on CG/XL, but ended up with OW/XLT. And boy I'm glad I did, CG is an ugly color outside of Arizona.

Buy cheap (XL), buy twice. Hope to happy with this trim for years to come. Lux package winter features can't be beat. XL is a fair weather trim.

Almost a 20% price increase from the original $19.999 and then add the $1500 extra for the Hybrid and wow, that is some price inflation in 2 years.

Most of the time yes, but some dealers do not honor price protection, is not a guarantee as many on this forum has found out.

This is a case of Early Bird Catches... Essentially the same vehicle jumped by about 5K. Can't fault Ford, it's a business and they don't owe us anything. Just calling myself fortunate I have a hybrid XL coming with a transitional private offer.

I still feel that way. My FX/4 LUX price protected through 2 price increases and then the MY24 increase was 3 Grand cheaper than it is now. (y) Love my truck.

Let's not forget that everyone with an order prior to December 15th are price protected to their price when they ordered. Make sure your dealer knows this. Find my many, many videos on this subject on our youtube channel at www.youtube.com/longmcarthur
