“Ford's margins are still only around 10%,”

No company can survive on a 10% margin.
Not even remotely possible.
Grocery Stores survive on as low as 5% to 6%. There are other businesses that are low margin, but make some up on Volume. Many Restaurants are not much above grocery, and certainly below 10%.

The test I find online is one from June of 2025, and one from December of 2025, so that would be a no.

Show me another video of a 25-26 hybrid and EB running side by side. So far, TFL is the only one I've seen.

But I would love to see another that is at lower elevation than a mile high It would be great to see how much the 5,000' TFL test swayed the numbers compared to less than 1,000' in elevation.
So, the Motor Trend 2026 TOTY test was on different days for the Hybrid and Lobo tests post some links proving they were tested at different times? It was the Winter 2026 Motor Trend Edition not June or December 2025 Editions and they show all the trucks that were tested together in the same picture?

In typical TFL fashion, they leave out key details, like fuel. You can be certain the Lobo was running low octane fuel for that test, given the time. 5000 feet of altitude is fractional factor for FI.
Those tests He found were not the ones I was talking about see the post above this one!!

Thats Funny.
Parents had a Maroon-colored 4-door.
It worked fine for them... For 12 years.. 🤔

Your parents won the lottery. Very few good cars during the era after the fuel crisis of the 70's. They started getting better in the mid to late 80's. This was the Ford Pinto and Chevy Vega timeline. My Fairmont was the butterscotch color. Ugly and unreliable. Don't miss it. 😂

Yep...Neptune is just the recycled old Superduty Light Blue Jeans metallic or Medium Blue Jeans metallic. Don't be fooled guys. Carbonized Grey will come back as Pacific Submarine Grey in 3 years.....

Something to watch for more info in the coming weeks. Higher trim levels have LED taillights. I have skipped over several pages of this thread. I apologize if this has been noticed previously.

The order banks should open this afternoon. At first glance over the major changes page, here are some highlights:
  • New Bronze Appearance Package on XLT 301A (HEV AWD) and Lariat 501A (HEV AWD)
  • XL and Lariat no longer has an Ecoboost option
  • XLT AWD, Lobo, Tremor is the only trims with Ecoboost motor available
  • Lariat no longer comes standard with Luxury Package, $1595 option. Lariat now available as FWD HEV at $34,760 plus Destination
  • New Colors: Neptune Blue, Gladwin Green, Glacier Gray Tri-Coat
  • Deleted Colors: Azure Gray, Carbonized Gray, Space White
  • FX4 Package now included on XLT AWD Ecoboost
  • FX4 Package no longer requires XLT Luxury Package and no longer includes unique 18" wheel
  • 4K Tow Package no longer requires Ford Co-Pilot Package
  • Tremor no longer includes Bedside, Rocker, Hood Graphics (optional now)
  • Toughbed Spray-in Bedliner is no longer included in the Lariat, Lobo, Tremor (optional now)

I will have a video with complete comparison of changes that Ford doesn't include on the major changes page tonight on the Long McArthur Ford YouTube Channel.

So, gain & lose some colors, some pkg/option change- no huge deal except hybrid only on some pkgs- so you want a lariat EB, just dress up an XLT. nothing here shakes the market and the interesting changes will be the 2028 and the Fathom.

What you say is~$925- far cry from $3K. Also, is 2028 the last year for Gen1 maverick?
The base price lowered to $39000 with destination with the above items removed.
2026 price $42,490
2027 price $39,000
2027 price with 2026 content plus wireless charging $39,825
Savings of $2,665

Sorry for any mistakes I might have made.

Wow, I see a 402a Lobo is $3775 cheaper than 2026. Is Ford taking the hit to move 2027 models before the Gen 2 comes out in 2028?
