Well looks like I'll keep my 24 lariat. I took a 22 hybrid on a test drive and was not impressed. When they raised above 40k for the lariat I was like you know that's ranger prices. I love my black appearance package. So my ford dealer can just keep calling me!

Comparing the highest spec to the lowest spec cracks me up.

A Ranger spec'd out to the same level as say a Mav Tremor is $55k FYI.

If a Maverick had been available with a manual transmission and a conventional IC engine I would have been all over that like white on rice.

The Hybrid was a difficult decision for me, having shifted gears for most of my life. Frankly, I'm sort of amazed that I have a vehicle with a one-speed automatic transmission sitting in my driveway.

I still have one three-pedal car left if I get "homesick" for choosing my own gears. It's kind of the Swedish version of a truck. It even has a British-designed Laycock de Normanville epicyclic overdrive unit, which is one of the reasons I bought the old Volvo in the first place. No turbo either, which makes it only slightly faster than the Mercedes 240D I drove for eight years, also equipped with a manual transmission.

And up until we bought the Maverick, we used the Volvo 245 as a truck. Here we are picking up sandbags to prepare for the heavy rains a few winters back. Sounds like El Niño is going to dump even more rain on us this winter. Time for more sandbags I think, and perhaps time to dig a sump and grab a decent pump for the low spot in our backyard, just outside our bedroom. We'll use the Maverick for those errands this season...

The order banks should open this afternoon. At first glance over the major changes page, here are some highlights:

• New Bronze Appearance Package on XLT 301A (HEV AWD) and Lariat 501A (HEV AWD)
• XL and Lariat no longer has an Ecoboost option
• XLT AWD, Lobo, Tremor is the only trims with Ecoboost motor available
• Lariat no longer comes standard with Luxury Package, $1595 option. Lariat now available as FWD HEV at $34,760 plus Destination
• New Colors: Neptune Blue, Gladwin Green, Glacier Gray Tri-Coat
• Deleted Colors: Azure Gray, Carbonized Gray, Space White
• FX4 Package now included on XLT AWD Ecoboost
• FX4 Package no longer requires XLT Luxury Package and no longer includes unique 18" wheel
• 4K Tow Package no longer requires Ford Co-Pilot Package
• Tremor no longer includes Bedside, Rocker, Hood Graphics (optional now)
• Toughbed Spray-in Bedliner is no longer included in the Lariat, Lobo, Tremor (optional now)

I'm usually not a fan of the blue color, but the Neptune blue sure looks nice.

I agree with the blue, this ones not bad!

Tim said to expect the builder to update with the 2027 model in a few months, closer to production.

The Tremor and the LoBo DESERVE the Ecoboost.

Also stupid is when ordering a Lariat you can't get the Lariat Lux pkg with the black appearance pkg. 2027 might be the worst model year for a Maverick as far as options go.

Great post! If I want a Lariat, is this a gouge by making things optional which were included before? Or does it give us more freedom to pick and choose?

Lariat AWD Hybrid with standard SIBL was $38090 in 2026. If you order Lariat AWD Hybrid add SIBL and Lux Package is comes to $39275. Having the Lux Package and SIBL optional allows someone who didn't care about those features to get into Lariat with ActiveX, Adaptive Cruise, upgraded look for $34,760 for Front Wheel Drive HEV.

No it is not true. Ecoboost is not available on Lariat but Hybrid FWD is available.

Was it mentioned the new trucks come with 1 year of Ford Security Package, with optional 7 year purchase?

Ford security package is a subscription based service that provides theft alerts, remote engine disable, and stolen vehicle recovery assistance.

Requires you keep fuse 11 connected.

Not sure why you would "need" the security package as long as Ford Pass App stays free.
