I just had service done at 46k and my pads are at 7mm. Which is in the " green" for good so iam thinking 70-80 k for replacement. My wife drives our mav and she is much harder on brakes than me. My 16 year old ram still has original brakes at 67k.

I just had service done at 46k and my pads are at 7mm. Which is in the " green" for good so iam thinking 70-80 k for replacement. My wife drives our mav and she is much harder on brakes than me. My 16 year old ram still has original brakes at 67k.

Yes 70 or 80k on brake pads but no 156k.

I agree, there are alot of variables with brake pad wear.

My rear pads were gone at 44k. Fronts are still going strong at 60k. I replaced the rears with PowerStop performance pads and the plated slotted and drilled rotors. I have a set waiting to go on the front. I have used them before and have been very pleased with the corrosion resistance, stopping performance and longevity. The last set on my Jetta SE lasted 80k of 50/50 city/highway driving.

Sorry I don’t check in everyday… but yes I have over 156k on my original brakes. Yes the dealership does check at each oil change and yes I will need brakes soon. This is the first ford with 4 wheel disc brakes that I have not had to change the rears (they usually need rear pads before the front?). Yes I drive plenty of highway but also many times with traffic in towns. Ohh and my original cv axles too. I don’t think I should have to argue with people that have opinions with not knowing there are real people here that are just telling my experience.

I was referring to BK007's claiming that there's no way 156k on original pad. I was curious if they meant just Mavs or vehicles in general. I've had most of my vehicles go that long on pads. Not sure why they think it is crazy.

All depends on how you drive, I drive 40 miles expressway each way to work and back and plenty of other traffic with original pads all the way around and currently have over 156,000 miles (the dealership does my oil changes and checks also) I’m the original owner in October of 2021 ecoboost fx4.

You are a great source to tap due to the mileage on your truck, i.e. breakdowns, cost for repairs etc.

If you did put the pads on yourself, was it difficult? If so what was the most difficult part?
