Well a positive for having a late 2022 order...is gives time for the major kinks to be worked out.
Software updates.
Engineering fails discovered.

All can be made whole again...so no worries...

Yes, finally I have a reason to be happy about not having a build date! 😖🤣

Just my guess but, because it is build date specific and "good" vehicles were built before & after the dates, I think a "wrong" tool was in the automatic threader for those bolts for that period of time. It was discovered . . .who knows how. My guess is they will drill and tap a size lager and use a size larger bolt.

I currently drive a 2012 Ford focus. It has a stick shift, not the dreaded (crap) dual clutch.

The way Ford handled the recalls for this vehicle is part of the reason I'm buying Ford again. I was notified, given a vehicle to drive when mine was in the shop. One recall involved the gas tank. I had a repair made, shelled out pretty big money, then found out about the recall. Ford reimbursed me for the repair. Not ideal, but every step along the way, they made it right.

If they continue to do so, I'll continue to be a satisfied customer.

Why wasn't the threads checked with a go/no go thread gage after replacing the tap? This is the quality we get for $8 an hour non unionized labor. Expect to see many more recalls. I won't see my truck for six months. It gives me time to think if I will accept it when its delivered. Unfortunately manufacturers will accept crap made in third world countries for the sake of their bottom line.

Fix it by fixin' it. That's why it comes with a warranty when we're all finally lucky enough to take possession. Weird stuff is going to happen.

We're ALL taking a gamble buying a first year model. How many of us have said at some point, "I'm never buying a first year model." Raise your hand...

Yep. Quite a few of you out there.

We're all in this together. Put on your big girl panties (or your tightie whities, whatever floats your boat) and let's enjoy the community of Maverick ownership.

We're the ones who signed up for this, remember?

Not sure that American vehicles were any more reliable when made in the USA, so I’m not convinced that it’s a problem with where the truck was made. Also, I’m pretty sure that the workers in Hermosillo are actually unionized, which I support.

Great...I'm loosing faith in this truck...quality?
I miss the old days of vehicle manufacturing where the carmakers just waited to see if a bunch of people died before spending money. /s

I'm supposed to be picking up my Maverick this morning but there is a stop sale recall that was just released this morning. Evidently, some Mavericks have fuel tanks that need assessment. No idea what the issue is, specifically. Maybe @fordvideoguy can chime in or someone else with access to more information....
If you have a VIN, try putting it into Ford's recall information website to see if it is there.

This is very common. If this scares you, I don't even know what car to recommend. Even the gold standard that is Toyota/Lexus have these things happen. I probably would have bought a 2022 Prius Limited before I even realized the Maverick was a thing. I put in an offer and the dealer said nope, can't sell it - stop sale due to recall, brake issues.

It'll be fine.

Im in the recall group and tried the VIN lookup. It apparently hasn’t been updated yet.

I see they are unionized. Probably under a lot of pressure to produce. That's when mistakes happen unfortunately. Not much we can do about it. For sure I'm going to check my truck when it arrives for fit and finish and other potential visual issues.

If you feel this strongly about expecting more recalls, then I'm sure if show up to dealership and tell your salesperson your story of how manufacturers are accepting cheaply made third world crap and not sure about accecting the Maverick, they will gladly listen. However, the only thing that salesperson is hearing is, "blah, blah, blah" and thinking, if he rejects the truck I can mark up this Maverick and make a nice commission! 🙄 🤣🤣

Sometimes I wonder if some of you have ever had a car before.

Our 2015 Macan had over-torqued timing cover bolts. Randomly over-torqued, apparently, as Porsche could not so much as give a VIN or production date range. The remedy? Engine out, five-figure repair. To my knowledge they've yet to recall this, at least they hadn't by the time we sold our Macan early this year. The thing was built in Germany, so not a third world country. It cost twice what my Lariat Lux hybrid cost new.

This stuff happens. It happens to all companies, at all prices, and is basically unavoidable. The Maverick will almost certainly have future recalls like the rest of every car ever.
