This seems like something really silly to get upset about. It's just a silly name for older folks.
If you’re younger and have to google to see what the term means - they give a “politically correct” definition that generally frowns on the term.

AI can’t always be trusted lol.

The forum was a lot more fun when there were weekly posts about reservations being scheduled. I've now had my truck for three years, and you can pretty much walk onto a dealer lot and get a Maverick nowadays. The excitement has simply waned.

Perhaps some of our older members get frustrated when people use letters instead of words.... I am one of them 😭....
YES! and when we use words like set the timing, adjust the lifters, clutch pedal, feeler gauge? whatever that is, we laugh at them.

I still have these👇

The last time I used them, was when I replaced the spark plugs in my wife's Escape at 80,000 miles. And the spark plugs are still decent looking. They could have easily gone 100,000 miles.

As we all know the demographic of Maverick Forum members tends to be on the plus side of 50. When a very active member stops posting at all I get a knot in my stomach. I tell myself they just lost interest or are to busy living life to check in. A few that were very regular commenters I haven't seen in a long time are @Maverick Country Club, @oysterville, @Ozarkbeard, @HenryFord. I know there are others that I am forgetting. If any of you long time inactive members see this just want to say we miss your input.
Can't speak for everyone but I'm only 29, just busy and limited on screen time. There are a lot of forums that I really only visit and participate in when I have a question. I visited this one frequently when I was attempting to do work in a new area, now I'm more familiar and don't need to reference guides as much. I occasionally browse when I'm bored but I work a remote job and stare at a screen for that so I try to spend my off time away from them

Do you understand NUNYA?
On an open forum, everything is everyone's business.
If you don't want replies, don't post.
You'll just be added to the list of those that disappear, or maybe not..

Since someone mentioned geezer... I am getting older and one time someone said I was hard of hearing, which I am not. Then they said something that ticked me off. I looked at the guy and said how dare you say I tweezer my fart crack. I heard what you said. And my wife looked at me and said, " no honey. He said the old geezer will have a heart attack. ". Any body watch American Dad?

Several have.
Geezer isn't a problem.
The real item of concern is the dreaded "Elder Brain"..
