Waiting more than a year (rolling over orders) has one advantage: you can get a rebate from Ford. My case was $3400 below MSRP. I ordered a 2023 XLT Hybrid, rolled over to 2024, Ford kept the price of the original order. It was fair for me.

Same here, 22 to 23 roll over. $2750 rebate made the 23 price close to my quoted 22 price. Only downside was increase in interest rates will end up costing me about $2000 if I don't pay it off early.

Tell it to "Activist Engineer" LOL
At this point, I'm going for the record. The longest time I've seen on here so far has been ~720 days, barring people who's orders never actually got placed because of one screw-up or another. I think I have a pretty good shot at it.

Ordered my base (no options) XL hybrid last July (23) and no indication that it was going to be scheduled anytime soon. One shows up at a local dealer last month (customer ordered and declined) and we jumped on it. No regrets. Initially they told me there was a 3K markup but I said I was not interested - then I got the "let me talk to my manager" and they came back with MSRP. I am a cappy hamper!

Engine block heater and got caught in the gas tank recall. Had to reorder for a third time so my truck would show up before Thanksgiving.
I'm still waiting for my gas tank fix. Has yours been taken care of yet?

I've been waiting for about a year because of the gas tank recall. It's been sitting in a lot not too far away. Who do I talk to about the rebate/special offer?

I hope they didn't put a 12 volt battery on a shelf with a tag "reserved for his order number".

I knew very specifically what I wanted. A Lariat with EcoBoost, moon roof, and tow package, in any of 4 colors I like, nothing else Didn't want to order or wait. In my area of NE Florida, around half the dealerships within 150 miles had one each like that. LOTS of hybrids, lots of XLs and XLTs.
Almost got a Chili Pepper red one from one dealership until they changed their mind on the price at the last minute, so got an Azure one from a different dealership for $35 less. And that was roughly $1700 below MSRP on this tough-to-find configuration. Six weeks later and that same red is still parked out in front of that dealership.
While shopping, I noticed that the hybrids which used to be $1500 more are now $720 less than the EcoBoost. The hybrids are not selling well. Considering how many are available in this area, I'm sure they are going for well below MSRP too at this time.
So for anyone still looking for one, take a small Florida vacation and pick up a Maverick while you are here!
