Apparently for @Geo8866 the Ranger seems to be the right size. I will admit the bed of the Maverick needs to be half a foot to a foot longer. But for 98% of my needs it works.
I was stopped at a red light last night right next to one of the new Colorados, and man, the Maverick looks tiny next to it! Crazy because the Colorado is just a midsize!

Neighbor has a 10 year old or more extended cab Colorado. He even said the newer ones are too large compared to it and expensive too.

Congrats on your new Ranger.

A Maverick is my last truck. I either die with my current one in the garage or piss everybody off and live longer than expected and need to buy another one. :D

Congrats! I might be following you soon...the value of my 2022 has held up decently and the deals on the 2025 Rangers are insane.

Congrats! Said goodbye to my '23 2.0 Mav and got my '25 Ranger three months ago. Couldn't resist 4K off MSRP. Love it. With the 2.3L engine and 10 speed transmission I'm only one mile less per gallon combined highway and city and two miles per gallon better towing our camper.

Nice Truck, Congratulations !!!!! I love the Rangers, had 2 back in the 80's/90's with 6 cyl. Both were rock solid, nothing but routine maintenance in all the years/miles. The 2.3 is a solid powertrain but if I were to trade now day's I think I would go with the 2.7 for my use cases.

Our last Ranger was a 2011 4x4 (gas hog). Last year of the smaller body. Got the 2.3 over the 2.7 as the '25 2.3 is an upgrade from the '24 2.3 as it has dual port injection. Plenty of power for hauling and towing while still easy on gas. For us we really don't need the extra power as the Mustang 2.3 engine in the Ranger now has plenty.

Gas hog is right! Had a 2005 FX4 for a couple years and no matter what, I could not get better than 15 MPG. Truck was solid and very clean for it's age + being a rust belt truck. Wish I had pics on my phone, will have to keep digging around.

I like the new 6th gen ranger, but the lack of a 6' bed in the States is a deal breaker. If I'm going to be stuck with a tiny bed, I'd rather have the Mav's better handling and efficiency and load height ece ece.

But if I could get a Ranger with a 6', or even better, the 7' bed they offer in europe, combined with the XLT package with 10 way seats and the nano V6.....Ooooh I'd be in trouble.

I too would highly entertain the prospect of an extended cab/6' box Ranger! Ford says if you want that configuration, then buy an F150 (which means a higher profit margin for them...) lol
