Well.. As I have said before...

Another, "Post -N- Go" thread...

Though, this reminds me of the guy (who posted here on the forum). Who drove into a storefront and than blamed the brakes for NOT working... 🤬

The best days for owning my Mav were picking it up from the dealership and driving it 750 miles home getting 30.4 mpg next best day was dumping it with 1,500 miles after countless low battery modes and the poor front door lock design easily locking myself out
What vehicle did you replace your Maverick with?

As the guy was a one and done, I doubt he ever read this thread after his vent.

What may be of continuing interest, is that Lemon Laws vary by state, and most (all?) have a significant impact component.

To get a car to qualify for a return must usually be something that affects your ability to use the vehicle. Having a navigation screen go blank seems highly unlikely to qualify, even if the dealer has problems immediately correcting the issue.
.
Not watching where you are going and driving into an oncoming lane is a driver failure, not a vehicle problem.
And for the lemon law, there has to be multiple failed attempts to repair....

It might, but all he reported was a NAV screen issue that was corrected by a reset.

If a reset resolves the issue, it may be inconvenient, but I disagree that would be cause for a return.
Who knows what the guy was doing. It could have been a phone issue.

In any case, for ANY lemon law return, the dealer has opportunities (plural) to resolve the issue, and a new owner having a hissy fit doesn't mean they can return the vehicle.
An issue occurring repeatedly with no permanent fix is the most basic qualification for a lemon law buyback.

There is no separate "NAV screen" on a maverick. Translated from Boomerese: his infotainment screen was going black. That means no HVAC controls. No Bluetooth controls, ece. That is far beyond an "inconvenience. And dont forget, that screen is also YOUR BACKUP CAMERA. And you cant see twit out the back window of a maverick, that is a legitimate safety issue.

We also dont know how many times he has taken it to a dealer for diagnosis.

Or he is negotiating with dealer. (How much trade in can he get on an F250 super deluxe magnifico Titanium?).
Based on the high values being offered by used car buyers (Carvana/Carmax/etc) he could likely do better that route, than as a trade in. Too bad he gave up on the forum too easily.
He probably didn't see that thread. I could feel bad for him, but I don't.

I can see some silly disgruntled possibilities...

Perhaps the issue was simply resolved and the guy has a new profile (No, that wasn't me!!)

Maybe the dealer had a buyer looking for that specific vehicle and they and gave the guy his clunker back they couldn't sell due to high gas prices and came out way ahead after getting a hefty service charge..

It's possible that after a review of the owner's manual, he discovered all the problems were of his own making and there is nothing to complain about... He hasn't posted lately...

It's also possible that the dealer told him to go jump in a lake and rather than following that advice, he decided to stay in bed and complain, to the further dismay of his spouse.
We may see the case on divorce court..

Or none of the above.

What is very unlikely is that he was lusting after another Ford, due to his apparently chronic case of "bow tie" disorder...

Because back in the 60s, cars didnt last long. People got int he habit of changing cars out every 4-5 years because being stranded in the days before cell phones was no bueno.

That pattern of behavior has been carried into the modern day. You still se people claiming that a car is getting close to 100k and its time for a new one, or they want something different, almost liek they're in a trance.

Part of it is marketing, part of it is social pressure, some of it is incompetence, and some of it is good ol fashioned greed and jealousy. The Joneses are on social media, and if you dont have the new shiny.....what are you doing? Why are you even here? That perceived status drives people into making terrible financial decisions.

I mean are we all not vulnerable to it? How many people had perfectly fine cars but traded them in on Mavericks? Even me, I love my GLI, its a great car, yet I keep finding myself debating trading it in on one of those leftover 2025 green Mavericks.
I did,I traded a truck that probably would have made 300K for a one that will be lucky to see 200K.oth this mav easily is 50% better at the gas pump.!

I have a 2022 Maverick XLT I picked up in December of 2021. I have not noticed any steering issue with just over 24K miles. However, I just bought a new 2025 Ranger XLT a week ago.. Basically noticed the steering issue on the way home. No issues with the display other than learning curve.....Yet. I forgot to add, the lane keeping assist is much of the problem with steering. I just turn it off. TIres may add to it a bit.

🤷🏻‍♂️
They posted on Friday. They could have been out of town over the weekend or they could actually have a life and work during the week. They may return 🤷🏻‍♂️

I consider the infotainment screen going completely blank while driving a legitimate issue. All the rest are questionable. I am seriously confused about how one can lock themselves out of this truck though. The doors won’t lock when you touch the outside handle if the key is still inside if I’m not mistaken.

I was actually going to bring that up... He's still here and still active, but there was never any explanation or resolution that was posted that I can see.

When people get their worldview adjusted in an embarrassing way, it is sometimes easier to just drop it and/or walk away I guess. 🤷‍♂️

That crash happened on December of 2024. He was 86
The brakes have been known to go out on the Maverick. Brakes going out or mistakenly hitting the gas pedal 🤷🏻‍♂️
In any case the damage to the cleaners was pretty extensive.
He reappeared online November of 2025 saying that the only problem he had with his Maverick was the tire pressures indicators.

Have they? Anyway my point was that if the brakes really did go out, that is obviously a major issue. Half of the replies to that thread doubted him, but the other half were outraged in sympathy and telling him to sue the pants off Ford.

If an accident-causing brake failure happened to me, the settlement I would’ve gotten would’ve allowed me to join a Lamborghini forum, not just come back to MTC like nothing happened.

There is no shame in being 86. That’s a lot of life to have lived. But I have also watched with my own eyes a lady about that age “hit the wrong pedal” and accelerate her Oldsmobile through a parking stall, over a curb, through a chain link fence, over a stack of pallets, and into a pile of concrete block on my construction site. I’d wager that scenario plays out far more often than a complete brake failure. In the case of the MTC member, I’m suggesting his silence is an admission of guilt, but it’d be wrong to confront or ridicule him anyway, so it doesn’t matter…

Just spent the last 4 days down in Tennessee/North Carolina border running the Tail of the Dragon and a few other roads in his Civic Type R (FL5) and now I'm about to spin the Carvana wheel again and seriously go kick the tires on my own FL5.
